why are they making so many different versions of the Murciélago?!
there's a Murciélago, Murciélago LP640, Murciélago LP640 Superveloce and a Murciélago Superleggera now?! wtf... the last three mentioned are basically the same!

It was tought that it would become the Superleggera, but it will be named as SV

They're not the same, The Superleggera has more horsepower than the LP640.
Read the article .. there isn't a Superleggera, its the SV version.
Why do you seem surprised that there are so many versions of Murcielago ?! It makes sense .. its what Lamborghini has been doing all along .. how many versions of the Diablo were there !? and according to that trend .. there SHOULD be a GT version of the Murcielago down the line ! haha I wish .. anyhow . this SV is gonna be sick . but I hope it won't have a huge SV sticker on the side like the Diablo. They're making different versions of the Murcielago because it is very very expensive producing another car with a different platform and chasis etc etc ..

This car is already amazing, despite the awkward paint job. It shows that Lamborghini is really returning to it's roots... I hope they reveal some performance figures soon...

Let's just put it in this way.
Great car overall, but bad paintjob.

Yeah, but its only a test car. ^^
Anywhoos, this thing looks exactly like the Superleggera prototype of the LP640 a few weeks or months back. IDK if they changed it to the SV, but it sure as hell looks the same. psh whatever yo, looks cool and all, too much chrome on the back.

can't you read? i said 'basically' the same....
lol, the Superleggera has 10 more bhp than the LP640, whoopie sh*t! what's the point, seriously... it's just a waste of money developing them. a normal Murciélago and ONE ultimate Murciélago, not 3, would suffice if you ask me.

What's the difference? Lamborghini usually just adds a couple more horsepower and some other minor details and call it a whole new car. It seems you would save more money by just aftermarketing it. The spoiler is abit much. Something smaller would be cool.

looks really cool. but what with that paint job? will it make the car go faster or something :p.

I have known about this for a while. I think that the VC (Superveloce) version of LP 640 is going to be the only version of the LP 640 i.e. there will be no SL (Superleggera) version.
As far as the Gallardo, I think Lamborghini is planning to produce all three variants i.e. standard, SL, and VC. The Gallardo VC is to go up against the Ferrari F430 CS.
The reason Lamborghini are bothering with all these variations is because, as someone has already said, it is cheaper than creating new platforms every five minutes. Lamborghini have also promised to reveal a new car, or version of a car, at every major auto show this year. The strategy keeps people talking about Lamborghini and it is relatively cheap. However I am really looking forward to a new Lamborghini models. It seems sensible to me to squeeze every drop of value out the cars you produce.

This car is just filled with awesomeness. It just looks amazing. It's an LP640 on a diet, but it came back better than ever! It's also very colourful as well, the paint job reminds me of Daruis' car from NFS Carbon except this one has some white. It has a spoiler as well, that should improve downforce, it also looks good too. I just cant wait...

A week too late. Never mind. I personally don't like this at all. all it is is just a LP640 with a 2 colour combo with an uneccessary extra large spoiler at the back. not to my liking. it does look alright, but very colourful which does make it a little ugly. I prefer the Hamann Ferrari F430 Black miracle better. Anyway this one looks alright, not the best Lp640, it could do with a new colour job and a better looking spoiler. and those performance stats dont look too bad either.

Modern Lambos have finally got my heart beating and my palms sweaty all over again. And I thought that those days with a Lambo are long gone ever since they've been Audi-fied.

It will be amazing if this comes out. Mad looks, mad power and overall, a bit of madness.
I personally don't think the spoiler's too much, in fact I quite like it on there, I'd be happy if that reaches the production version. Suits the car quite a bit.

Maybe this car has a good chance to beat Porsche CGT at Nurburgring.

This car is very good..I like it..It's colourful and this exhaust is very big..And it has good performance...It's faster from all the others lambos i think because it does 0-100 in 3secs..Amazing number..

Or am I completely wrong.
Anyways, I like it. I wouldn't take it over a stock, because SV means that it will have a stripped interior and a loud-ass exhaust note, but other more hardcore enthusiasts will probably appreciate it.
By the way, will it have RWD instead of AWD as well? The Diablo SV had that.

Wow...that's one naaace car...just change the colour to the Gallardo Superlegga then you've got a true supercar.

ohhhh come on! Leave the SV name out of this car. The Murci is not in pair with the name.... Burn Lambo!

well if leaving the front diff and 'shafts out, they'll save weight,, so good. But it'll have slower acceleration; bad. more power? good. that spoiler: bad. Louder exhaust? GREAT! No interior? less things that could spontaneously combust, and therefore good. Lower top speed (That wing and short gearing? meh.
Overall:Great=1, Good=3, Bad=2, Meh=1, and therefore this car will be GOOD

I think there are great chances of it entering production. it has been in testing for a while, so I don't see any reason why Lamborghini would drop it now. and as for the spoiler, with 700 hp and with the car being a Lambo (a.k.a. crazy-head-cutting-mad-killing-machine), you'll need that thing ! my only doubt is wether it's going to be an option or not.
ohhhh come on! Leave the SV name out of this car. The Murci is not in pair with the name.... Burn Lambo!
why not ? Lamborghini is italian. that's an italian name. they have always done that: start with a spanish bull and, sometimes, add a mad, eye-catching italian adjective to go with it.
JoeProte83
Jun 02, 2007, 5:38 AM
Italian? what that has to do with it? the SV should stay in the Diablo or a car similar or better than them. The Murcis is not in my eyes...... Is this the first time for you to see a Lambo be named SV?

I guess it's a Lamborghini thing. Look at how many different kinds of Diablos there were.
