nice, I've been looking forward to the new RS6 for ages.
I'm assuming that this isn't what it's gonna look like though, I can't imagine it'll come with those wheels and i'm sure it'll look a lot more agressive than this when it comes out

I just love the Audi RS6
That's gonna be an M5 killer

Yes, I've read in comparisons that the S6 was underpowered when compared to the M5. With even more power and perhaps some suspension tweaks, the RS6 should be able kill the M5. But then again, who knows what the next M5 will have....turbos? lol

Doesn't look near as aggressive as the last RS6

Very very nice. I'm especially liking the rear. Big exhausts and a rear diffuser always look great. But it's pretty sleek looking all round, so a generally nice looking car, and will probably perform great aswell, although I'll have to read a few reviews before I prefer it to the M5...

it needs to have larger wheel arche's the Audi RS series are known to have the lovely big wheel arches ,, other than that the fron fascia looks very good

I'm pretty sure they will beef it up a bit before they release it, at the minute they won't want to give away what it'll look loke, hence this car looking pretty much like an S line A6, having no badges, and having bbs wheels as opposed to the Audi ones it will come with

Nice. When do you think the RS5 will come out? I'm curious to see what it looks like.

This is what I got from digging around, looking for specs on the other two TTV10 Audis. Torque should be accurate, however, power in the other two cars were up 40kW on the RS6, presumably for reliability.
V10TT, 5204cc, 408kW @ 6200rpm, 749Nm @ 2400-5500rpm, 6800rpm redline. This engine won't rev as hard as the NA V10 in the S6, but will haul a$$ through the midrange.
Extensive use of aluminium in front structure, monster brakes (CC rotors from S8), Quattro AWD (of course), 255-285 series rubber. Should be sharper than the S6, with better (more comunicative) steering and brakes. Expect a maximum lateral G of 1.25ish.

Very cool. I like it. The front looks brilliant and so does the rear, i'm loving that diffuser and the two huge exhausts. The interior is pretty high tech as well with the AMMI(Audi Multi Media Interface) and the gauges which look awesome. The performance specs should be good too! I just can't wait, it should be a good competitor to the M5, maybe even better!

Wow, it looks excellent, I love the new look of it, it has a very aggressive front which I like, and also the rear taillights dont look too bad either... However I was hoping for the taillights to look more aggressive or have a new look, with some crystalized bulbs, but it looks pretty cool anyway..... Apart from that i cant really see any differences from the last model!

I'm in love. I used to like the M5 but this just looks so much better. and you can't argue with a twin-turbo V10. The inside will probably have heaps of carbon fibre which'll look sickas and they'll beef up the wheelarches and front bumper. The wheels on the spy car r already good but i expect new wheels from Audi which'll be like 19-20 inch.
Very eager to see this in final design.

damn, i hate it...the only thing that i will probably like is the rear, the little nice taillights and the diffuser, it looks nice...
they have messed up the whole new A6, whatever it is, the S6 was nice, but ugh, i didnt really like the 6 thingy, i would prefer the old one more than the new one, the new one is just an A6 with a Audi TT S-line bodykit, and thats about it...
well, i will wait for it

this car look so good although i am sure that it will look even more aggressive when they release it though my only objection right now is those rims.
Be aware M5, a great challenge is comming.

i can remember Audi saying that they're not going to get caught in the BMW-Mercedes power battle. but now they're kicking the arse of the M5 by around 50bhp, and the E63 AMG by around 40bhp...

There won't be any more wars. Audi will be the undisputed saloon car champion if this works out. No wars needed. And while some of you may think that 50bhp is not enough to back up my opinion, I believe that an extra 200+Nm over the bimmer will.

I think it will be a strong opponent to M5...I think that we will have one great car over there...RS6.Mmmmm..The rear diffuser is great and these rims...From what i can see the rims are BBS...I like it..So we should wait...

This is a nice looking car man... although not aggressive as the M5 or the old RS6... why doesn't it look so much different than the S6>>> maybe the real one will. I also like the rims.

I am updating this thread with the latest spy-photos.
http://news.windingroad.com/countriesmarkets/euro/spotted-audis-v-10-rs6-undisguised/
http://news.windingroad.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/06/audi-rs6-kgp-lead.jpg
While prototypes of Audi’s forthcoming RS6 have been spotted before, these are the first shots we’ve seen where the super saloon is essentially free of disguise, giving our spy shooters at KGP their best crack yet at solid images.
On this particular mule, the LED light strips in the front bumper have been removed, a somewhat curious deletion. However, the fascia resident air intakes have been enlarged and look somewhat R8-esque with their horizontal strakes.
Out back, a new bumper cap with integrated diffuser resides over a new single exhaust.
Underhood, our sources indicate that the S6’s V-10 engine has been supercharged, which should imbue the sedan with frightening amounts of gumption… something on the order of 550-600 horsepower.
New prototypes for the Audi RS6 have been spotted in Germany, this time basically undisguised. Now that the car is free from the annoying black-and-white checkered camouflage, the extent of the changes over the Audi S6 are now clearly visible. The LED light strips on the S6’s front bumper have been removed on this RS6. New front air-intakes are larger, and they wrap around the front bumper allowing for some integrated brake cooling ducts up front. The front intakes are highlighted by low flares which continue along the side, between the wheels, making for a more aggressive stance.
The rear bumper has been reworked significantly. Large single exhaust pipes replace the S6’s dual-tip design, and an aggressive rear diffuser dominates the rear bumper.
Visual differences aside, the real story is in the RS6’s performance potential. Sources predict the addition of a turbocharger to the S6’s 5.2-liter V10 engine, which should generate something between 550 and 600 horsepower. Given this RS6’s nearly production finish, a debut this Fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show seems likely.

I have found some more information on the performance figures.
Here is a link and the text is copied below: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/sedans/new-audi-rs6-to-have-571hp/
Audi’s new RS6 will blow away the competition when it hits the street with a supercar rivaling 571hp output derived from its twin-turbo V10 engine. Vehicle registration details from an inside source reveal specific information about the new Audi model including engine capacity and specific outputs.
The last three numbers of vehicle chassis codes for the new RS6, ‘Audi AG 4F 7967 21 AAJ N31 N30 579 426 5002’ reveal that the car will have 579ps (metric horsepower rating), which is roughly equivalent to 571hp. The second last number describes the rating in kilowatts, in this case 426kw, and the last number is the engine capacity, 5002cc.
Handling all this power will be a six-speed ZF automatic transmission and quattro AWD that will also have to deal with all 1,000Nm of torque. Powerful carbon-ceramic brakes will be available as an option as well as a possible DSG transmission, reports Auto Motor and Sport (http://www.automotorsport.se/nyhetsmall.asp?version=54677).
Following the release of the regular sedan and Avant models of the RS6, Audi is expected to launch a ‘Plus’ version with even more power. Current estimates are around the 620 to 635hp. Beyond this, the same twin-turbo powerplant will make its way into a high-performance RS version of the R8 super-sports car.

Yeah, I'm not super-impressed with the looks, though I really like the R8 treatment to the lower air dams on the front valance.

What I was impresses by was the torque as well as the power. 1000 Nm is 730 lb-ft, and that is a lot. The other good thing would be if they were to put this engine, or even the upgraded version in the R8. That would go like an absolute rocket.

Plus version isn't confirmed but as some of you know the last year of production for the C6 RS6 was 2004. And as a kinda last goodbye they made a special version called the Plus version. Only avaible as Avant, had 480 hp (+30 then the regular RS6) and the torque range was enlarged by 300rpm, it did 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, intresting that it's only 0.1 seconds faster then the new M5 Touring. I love to bring that fact up. To continue: the Plus was limited to a production of 999, the last 3 numbers of the VIN number were put on a plaque inside the car. It also had DRC suspension as standard and you could have the sports suspension plus without extra cost.
