I never liked the looks of the S40 but I loved the V50, they made it a lot more agressive.

Nice car I always liked the S40, and I really like the wheels on the new one.

Can hardly notice any difference, but the engine line-up doesn't sound too bad. The S40s rear does look a little too flat, and not curvy enough.

Hey, i like it... looks very similar to the audi in your avatar Birger... Anyways, I can't seem to see any difference for a "face lift", probably it was lifted up a millimetre and Volvo decided to share it with us. :D j/k.

well it looks, the same. Not much change, so not much to complain or like about it

What Volvo needs to do is change the interior, that was the biggest complaint we got when selling them last summer, Volvos are not cheap ,, but the interior is. The new S80 is a huge step forward, just drove one last week in Toronto. I have never been a fan of the S40 or the V50 ,, r's kept breaking!!

Bullsh*t. A 136HP diesel engine is perfect to propell a small sized estate/sedan. It's not meant to be a racing car... It's "abit too little" in Ferrari world... take a step back and get back into the real world.

The S80 and V70/XC70 are all new not facelifted. Now we have to wait to see if the V70/XC70 get the Yamaha sourced V8 from the XC90. I wonder what the new S60 will look like if they even replace it? I've heard rumors the it was suppose to share the Mazda6 platform or be replaced with the next generation S40 and V50 which will grow in size to compete with the BMW 3 series and Audi A4. Volvo killed the S60 R and V70 R for 2008. The current V70 is based on the the same chassis as the S60.

Hmm, i hardly notice a change in the front. It looks just like a normal Volvo, same for the V70. And the pics that mikeyb posted are pretty good. I like the XC70, the front looks very aggressive but the rear looks like a Forester. And the S80 has a weird front.

I cant really see muc difference in the S/V40. But the V70... WOW! Volvo has really come a long way from their old designs \/ \/. The back looks a bit odd, but it's not too bad. I can't wait for the V70R.

The current S80 and V70/XC70 is an all new car. So there will not be a facelift for another 2 to 4 years.

To be honest the V50 already looked great - but they have managed to make it look even better! :D

s40 looks sexy in my opinion like the design
