You guys hear anything about this game? They've only listed 10 or so cars that are going to be in it, but say there will be a total of 50+ cars with lots of tuning options. I know it has a website, but I am too lazy to go get it right now...I'll get the URL later.

Let's hope those picket signs have cannons on them, and they're aimed at the creators' heads...I really hope this game bombs...

Well, let me clarify my stance on crappy street racing games like NFS Underground, and this one comin' out...
They have unrealistic physics, amazingly painful grpahics, I know I'm not the only who's eyes hurt after playing it for more than half an hour. The fact that the maxed out Civic was on par with an S2000 LET ALONE...A GOD-DA*% SKYLINE was worth shooting someone over...That game had more rice than the Mekong Delta (get a map).
Another thing that reeeealllly sucked about it was that it had absolutely NO replay value, you'd sit there for literally hours, being passed at the last second by a car you previously had a 20 second lead on because the traffic AI decided to have an accident...And then after all your hard work, I mean stress, you'd be rewarded with some more crappy vinyl...
It wasn't fun, it was just stressful, and it made the Need For Speed series have a big blotch on it's rather good record. Now, a fun game that has alot of friends-hanging-out-with-friends gaming is Midnight Club II, playing Capture the Flag or Detonate is alot of fun for a while with friends...Whereas this "Underground" CRAP just is used as a coaster...

IMO one of the best NFS game ever made was porche unleashed. i never beet it because when i was mid way though the modern ara my bro would defrag the comp and ther went my file.
the driving was realistic and the graphic are still considered not half bad today. i loved the fact that you would start in the 1950's and slowly go up to i think 1996-8. and the game was challanging and fun at the same time. like factory driver, you can have some perdy challanging tasking to accomplish. the way you could mod your car was great. parts ranging from engine bores, exaust, clutches, tires, gearboxs, fiberglass more parts i also like the fact that depending on the contitions of the track you would have to change stuff like gearbox, and tires. and the music was not to bad either. best part about the game was the porche list!! god i remeber that i would collect almost every type of porche even the converties.
i wonder if people are still online.
now to the topic.
from the second i saw the skyline i thought rip-off of nfs:u. not only that a crappy one. and i thought that nfs:u was good game. but it does get boring when you beat it.
I hope the game bombs. the rage of street racing games is over! :smt096 we want games like grand trismo know.

Yeah, I'd take GT4 over SRS or NFSU:2 anyday....

I played Porsche Unleashed up until about March, when my comp got a ton of new stuff installed, and it don't run no mo'... :x
And as far as GT4 goes, count me in, I'll have to buy a PS2 for it though... :?

i agree with carRocker. few reasons i like racing games on PC.
i can actully put a steering wheel with ground peddles for more realisticness.
the steering wheel on the comp is more relaxing IMO.
and you can costom choose were you want the buttons to be.
and as far as racing games go. the PS2 controller would not be my first choice. the joystick positioning is not the best.
the xbox controllers were nice. with a joystick right there you can take soft turns without a problem.
hay Ghalos did you like porche unleashed?

Of course I did, I'm just a little upset about the fact that now that I have windows XP and host of other new stuff I can't play it, but it's ok, I'll get a new one sooner or later...=)
