Hello I have been seeing this web page this days and I have decided to ask you some things.
I recently have the driving license I'm 18 and I drive my father's Skoda Superb, I know it's not sporty, etc.., I'm thinking in buying a car here in Spain (Europe), what would you choose for a new driver? between this:
Kia Cee'd.
Mazda 3.
Seat Ibiza.
Opel Astra.
I can't pay too much money, so from 90 to 120 cv. Better Diesel engine.
Thanks.:)

None of them are bad cars, I guess the Seat appeals 'cause it's Spanish, though :p. Out of those four I'd probably say the Vauxhall or the 3, both are good, reliable cars which will get you from A to B, without too much trouble.
Kias seem to be getting better as well, so it might be worth taking into consideration.
I'd probably take the Mazda given the choice, for it's value and it's looks.

If you can stretch out for the Seat Ibiza FR, do it. It's got a powerful diesel engine (i think 150 horspepower, could be 170) and definitely has the looks. Even if you can't afford the FR, still go for an Ibiza; even the 1.9 TDI will give you a fair bit of power.

Of your list, the Astra is my choice. I like the Mazda to some extent, and the Cee'd isn't too bad. The Leon is an upmarket Golf which is a good thing since none of us is going to waste an extra £3,000 on the other upmarket Golf as good as it is (the Audi A3).
Welcome to the er, award wining Sports Car Forums.

I say Mazda 3. It's economical, practical (basically what you're looking for if you're just getting your first car) and I believe it's fairly good to drive.
Second choice would be the Astra, the diesel engines are very economical.

Mazda 3
Why? its the best, its probably the most powerful out of all of those, the interior materials quality is also higher. I drive a mazda 6, mazda's are great. The mazda 3 has been known to be very sporty, and to feel like a car more than twice its price. I'm telling you, get the mazda 3.
and welcome to SCF

yea, get the Mazda 3, mainly because all the cars you listed are front wheel drive and you dont need to get so much power in them or else you get understeer, boom, and toquesteer, which is bad, but yea, the Mazda is cool, the looks of it is good, you will love it
EDIT: and if you will have money to buy the new Mazda 2, which looks abosolutely cool, that would be great...
heres some pics of the Mazda2

Hi welcome to SCF, have a great time!:)
As for which car to buy, then you've come to the right place. I recommend you buy the Mazda 3 or the Vauxhall Astra, just make sure it's not the VXR edition since that would give large amounts of understeer and torque steer. Anyways both of them are very good cars, you want fuel economy, you got it, you want fun, you got it as well!:)

I made a little mistake the Seat Ibiza FR (diesel) "only" has approx. 131HP. I bet you can dig one out for under 12500-13000 euros. Problem is Seats are very popular in Spain and you won't exactly be standing out from the crowd, even though you'll be driving a real nice car.

If that's not for you, then go for the Mazda (even though I doubt you will find one for "cheap").

I think you should get a Mazda 3 great gas mileage, fairly fun to drive, gets you from on point to another. So I would get the Mazda 3. Welcome to SCF!!!

Mazda, auntie has one, unfortunately not the MPS.. but its a nice car, hers in ULP though, not diesel, bot sure about the diesel version, but it would be most likely quicker, and for sure have more torque, being a diesel!
