i don't think it is based on the MKIV, i think it is the MKIV with slightly reworked head and tail lights.

its crying, its ugly, the end...i mean just look at it, ahhh, im dead, ill get whatever its based on instead of this crying thing, i hate it...

I think that that is the ugliest hatchback I have seen bar none. Polo lights work on the Polo but not on a Golf.

Well, persoanlly I don't like the looks of it. But I suppose it will sell like hot cookies if it's cheaper than the Golf V.

Just looks like a jacked up MkIV. Nothing special. Shape's not that good, the rims aren't that good, and the front of it's quite ugly. Shoold have taken more styling cues from the MkV in my opinion. And the back of the car looks like a Suzuki Ibiza from a few years ago, so not so good. I generally like Golfs, but this one could have been better. If it's cheap it will definitely sell though.

well i dont think it looks too bad... but still very bad design. the taillights are alright, its just that the overall design is bad. very bad. I hope Volkswagen know what kind of model they have released!!
