The fastest I've driven myself is 180 km/h. I was coming up on a hill, and probably could have hit 200, but I didn't trust my tires.
I also maxed out my last car, but that was only 140.

Yeah I did, but (Holy effs that's an old post) I've recently learned that Cayenne's spedometers are VERY off. (I'm sure you've noticed this too). The car was actually in the '60's, not the 70's.

No, that post is ages old, from back when we had the Gemballa package. (That car got in a wreck a while ago, it was replaced with a [stock] Cayenne TT [except for factory options] months ago). Theres not a doubt in my mind that the Gemballa can hit 180, however, I [have already mentioned] discovered that the Spedometers on these cars tend to give rather inaccurate readings (off by up to 10%).

Folks, if you don't believe me that the car can go that fast, think about it this way:
The 450hp Stock TT Cayenne hits 165mph (says Porsche USA)
The Gemballa modified Cayenne had 600-650hp. You don't think a 200 or so HP increase can yield an extra 10% to the top speed?

100 mph in a Turbo Bentley and counting on a windy (even by Cornwell standards, which is where we were) with an XJS in chase.

If the Gemballa TT would run in the 170's or 180's it would take a very brave soul to do it. I was a passenger in a flat out run in a stock TT and even at 130 it felt light and tracked itself horrible. For the Gemballa to run even close to 170 it would need quite a bit of suspension tweaking. I know most manufactures hype their own numbers a tad and I would have to say the Cayenne is one of them. We were on a slight decline, about 40 degrees outside, half a tank of gas with two passengers. 155 indicated is all we could muster out of it and it was VERY scary. I have driven many exotics and this was one that i would never suggest running over 120.

As for my personal best I set out to run 200 MPH on a Sunday morning on 1-20 a week or so after getting my car back from Supercars International. Full tank, about 45 degrees outside, Just fully serviced the week before, valves just run in at over 300 miles so the new valve job was perfectly run in and loose, perfect tires, and absolutely no traffic with miles of straight away in sight. Drove it up to around 200 indicated and backed off. I don't know how accurate the speedo is at that speed but driving it to the indicator was good enough to satisfy the soul. True speed was probably around 188 to 190 but good enough for me. ;)

I see they got the suspension right on her. I knew to accomplish any kind of high top speed that the stock one would just not work that well. To tell you the truth that is an amazing accomplishment. I know how unstable the regular TT felt at speed and to see that one at 50 more MPH is unreal. My hat is off to that driver! Thanks for that post :)

I believe on Gemballa GT600 and up packages, the upgraded suspension is standard, same with the Techart full package.

Gemballa makes some unreal packages. A couple of us looked into their twin turbo package on lambos about two years ago and the price was way over the top. If memory serves me right i think it was around $125K and they wanted us to ship the cars to them. it was just to over the top for what the package offered . Things have worked out good though. Between SP and a few others we should all be in twin supercharged systems for around $30K.
