The fastest speed i've driven at on the road, is 133mph in my Astra. It was 3.00am and nobody was around, plus I wanted to see how fast it could go. Not bad for a 1.6i engine, tbh, it was down hill and I had it floored for the past 5 miles lol. Off the road, I had a high speed experiance day at Bedford Aerodrome, and I got upto 170ish in a Gallardo. I didn't see the exact speed, I was too busy looking where I was going and making steering corrections with sweaty palms.

mhm...i did (took a hell of a long time) 205 kph in an honda crv 2001, it was in a downhill bc it is a torqueless block. i did 235 in a volvo s80 2.5t, i did 200 in a peugot 307 2.0 and 195 in a nissan xtrail.

So, i learnt how to drve a manual this morning!!!! Woot Woot! I went a blistering top speed of 22 kmh in...wait for it...wait for it...a 2006 Maruti Suzuki Zen. Oh yeah!

Though this may not sep like a big deal, I am 14 and have 2 years left to drive in the US and 4 in India. I guess that learning in a 60hp small car is a smart move. Either way, it was an experience.

I actually found it pretty challenging. Letting out the clutch from a standstill was a pain in the ass. I stalled it like 6 times. =O Plus, learning on a dirt road is not fun. aargh. And it kept on jerking at a start. Oh well, practice makes perfect

So I let loose some steam today, nothing reckless, but it was fun. I took the longer route home (for VTEC, I took Huguenot to Old Gun to Robious instead of following traffic the whole way). Its a rather twisty road, and when it was safe to, I kept a constant 45-50MPH (speed limit is 35).

Of course I slowed down for the corners, and of course I slowed down when I approached bikers, but it was a good relief after a really bad day at work. I think next time I'll time myself to see if it is actually faster to go that way home because it really was a lot of fun.

hehe was on an empty strait road yesterday in the G55. decided to floor it and reached about 200KM/H ! Craazy !

My faster ever speed is 220 kmh (140 mph) on a highway with Skoda Fabia RS Mk1 1.9 TDI.
On 200 the car is stable and you can hear the stereo, on 220 the road noise is unbearable and you can't hear even your thoughts.

I went about 100km/h with a my dad's Punto 1.2.

It was fun. I wanted to go for more but i thought that i have no experience and it was smarter not to push it further. ;)

2 stroke dirtbikes are real beasts, the new the same as the old. In fact big old 2 strokers had more power than todays 450cc 4 strokers!

What mods have you done to the Cobalt? Everything I've read says top speed is drag-limited to 141mph.

I did 130kph in the S14 yesterday (on the freeway). I feel like such a badass.

Very nice car but it's very old technologically wise (as in chassis, suspension and steering).
Love the engine, the gearbox is ok (some problems with 3rd) but haven't driven it slightly hard yet so I can say nothing more.

I hope I drive it again soon and can take it to the track and compare it to the Porsche.

Yeah, that's kinda what I figured. You just can't trust spedometers. Haha. Mine stops at 140mph, but I've taken it above that. I had to look up the top speed to find out how fast I may have been going.

so my dad wakes me 5:30 in the morning and tells me to take him to the airport (too cheap to call a taxi). on the way to the airport, he bitches alittle about my driving like he always does and asks me repeatedly to slow down on the the road to the airport which happens to be a very low traffic highway with no speed limits, specially at that time of day.

so I dropped him at the airport, and on the way home I decided to go fast. It reached just below 240 km/h when it just stopped going any further down. I decided to keep going a little longer to see if goes any faster but then I noticed that my fuel meter went red empty cause I had only bars when I got out of the house, so I slowed down. although I was getting comfortable at that speed, unlike the previous times.

It's such an awesome place to go fast with very few cars to dodge, and they'd be quite distant and relatively slow knowing that I'd be speeding. so dodging them and switching lanes feels so cool, yet relatively safe (seriously, I wouldn't risk anyone's life). when I get my hands on a faster car, I think I'll have no problem hitting 300 km/h

Actually...the 98-02 Transam's with the LS1 and the Ram air option could hit an electronically limited top speed of 165.

Not the fastest Ive ever done, but I was racing a nineteen hundred and cabbage Renault Twingo on the motorway on the way home from school today. I hit 112 mph. At that point the Twingo had probably maxed out which means he really got owned hardcore.

I can believe that...somewhat. Roads in Tennessee are very smooth, and straight, and people drive like maniacs out there. But I do doubt you'd have a long enough strip to reach 165mph. I'm assuming she has the LT1 in her f-bird.

The V had a top speed limited to 120 mph. The ZR had no limit.. if there was it was 150 or 160. The only reason my Z has topped out at 120 is because of that damn governer. I know that without it I could top out at 160 or so without it. However.. the 93-97 came with a 150mph speedometer, so he couldn't say exactly 165. I'm betting it was an LS1 with ZR tires, so entirely possible.

I was leaving the rt 47 exit onto 90 east Friday night. Coming back to Palatine.

There is a two lane enterance onto 90 east bound. I turned onto the tollway and some little $hit in a civic got me in the hole shot. I didnt see him.

After the rt31 toll booth, I started off with him (we both paid manual toll, no I pass), and I left this little $hit into last week. NO-ONE beats a bimmer when they are trying.
