nah I don't have one, It is a courtesy car from the Merc garage I work at, I use it do quick runs and sometimes take it to pick up a customer's car and leaving it. They are damn nippy things for a 1.0L, it can even kick the rear out but barely because the ESP doesn't turn off without using the Diagnostics Equipt. You get well more the 30mpg, more like 50+

My bad, it was so long ago that I forgot. I corrected it to 105. It has a rev limiter and I know when I hit it, I almost $hit my pants. :D I gave a loud whining sound.

Actually I had the 2003 Pilot and it has a limiter. You will be surprise at how much this SUV moves, it is so easy to hit the rev limiter.

It is a V6 VTEC @ 260 HP.

The top speed limiter and the rev limiter are two very different things.

The top speed limiter limits the traction of the wheels at a certain speed, limiting it for safety reasons.

The rev limiter limits the cylinders' RPM by reading things that would suggest a high RPM, like engine temperature, speed, and gear position; also for safety reasons.

VTEC's are nice, but they're no where near a new SLK V6, with no rev limiter.

When they come out with better technology for traction it definitely will, as of now they slip the clutch all the way down the track, tires would be destroyed if they fully engaged it. They can still spin the tires at 250mph though :cool:

Almost got to 130km/h in the Magna, but I have no wishes to push that engine passed 4000rpm. I don't know what would happen, but I can be sure it wouldn't be very pretty.

i raced a 2005GTO on the back roads in my dads Z4 3.0si and it was honestley a good race , acceleration was close, he got me up around 90mph, but i was better through corners and from 20mph to about 80, on the straight i saw 150mph

my jettas speedo wont go past 135mph and its at like 4000RPMS.....

I have a heavy right foot :D I don't always go so quick, only when I know its safe and no one can catch me speeding :p My cousin asked me to try it get it as fast as I could and so far its the fastest its been since he's had it (he's not keen on driving it fast as he rolled and written off his last car after hitting black ice)

That's a pretty stupid plan. You've set yourself up for failure right away. You physically can't go faster than the FASTEST a car can go. Also, you probably shouldn't be toping out most sedans and normal cars because most of the time their tires arn't rated for such speeds. I would definitly check to see what your tires are rated at before attempting such debotchery.

But seriously, like Evo_Power said, that is just got Failure written all over it, being 15 you won't have much driving experience and taking a "Fast" car to a track just won't work, mainly because most tracks won't let you on with a car without a drivers or racing licence of some sort, as I found out a couple of years ago when planning to go to Knockhill :(.

Come on, i was just joking. I wouldn't really do that, because it's insane! I am allergic to crashes anyway -- I break out in severe injuries every time it happens. Besides, I don't want to spend the last few days of my life hooked up to life support.

I believe monkey once said he was goign so fast he couldn't breath or some thing like that with a 8k rpm v8 or so.... So i assume thats pretty fast to not be able to breath... then again maybe he was talking about acceleration, which makes more sense... i don't know anymore

All i know i still stand at 173mph on the bike, and thats about as fast as i ever want to go. will never be replicated not worth the rush.

Well, I'm not saying it was good idea, or that you should do it whenever you want to. But I'm saying that speed is relative. 160 in a Corvette is a lot less dangerous than 120 in a Kia Rio.

The fastest I've ever driven was 100 miles an hour in my Escort :) at 2 in the morning...for 2 seconds...on a highway in the middle of nowhere...it was scary!

I managed just under 105 mph in my 1998 Ford Contour SE (2.0L Zetec I-4, 125HP, 127lb-ft).
I did 112 mph in my buddy's 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V (2.5L I-4, 175HP, 180lb-ft).
I hit the 120 mph mark limited by gov'd in my 2006 Ford Focus ZX4 ST (2.3L Duratec I-4, 151HP, 154lb-ft).
I've done over 130 mph in my buddy's 2007 Mazdaspeed3 (2.3L turbo Duratec I-4, 263HP, 280lb-ft). I've read that the car can do more than 150 mph.
And, lastly, I've taken my 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX to the limit over 140 mph (2.0L turbo flat-4, 227HP, 217lb-ft). The speedometer only goes to 140, but everything I've read says the car tops out at 147 mph, so I must have been nearly there.

I did 132mph a couple weeks back in my GTI.

I did 70mph yesterday in a MB Vito Van :p took a while though, it has the smaller diesel engine and was loaded with tool in the back.

Well we didn't stay at that speed for long we just about touched 110 but we were at around 90 most the time.
