In Greece we do the same thing BUT we don't race in a straight line. we are going in roads with turns of course this is too dangerous because the sea is right after the turn but...

I did this on my local freeway at dawn with my mate in his Ducati 999S.

If you're talking about a car, the fastest I've seen, was an E39 M5 at 310km/h, the driver was insane.
The fastest I've driven was 290km/h, on the same car, late 2001 on a 30km straight line with nothing on the sides of the asphalt strip, but kilometers of sand.
And then also over 1000km/h, but that was on a plane, and I wasnt in controll of it, otherwise I wouldnt be here today.

Yeah, it was way too fast. The car felt safe, but not with that driver.
This car has no speed limiter, and I'm not sure what, but I think the engine management has been retuned by Nowak. I say again, I'm not sure, but I think that was it.
M5's come here with the speedometer in KM/H and its measured at up to 300.
No MPH shown. But it's around 190.

As I am only 15 I havnt drove anyfast cars iratically (YET) the fastest ive driven is about 30mph in my uncles mk2 Audi A3 2.0 FSI.....

..... but in the passengers side I have done 137mph in a skyline R33....110mph in a Citroen saxo VTR (mums) and 123 in a citroen C2 GT 1.6 16vlve (mums new car) lol, not bad to say im only 15! The Skyline **** me up though as he didnt just decide to go fast, but drift it sideways round a roundabout! (dont know how he did it becasue he hasnt done any car driving/drifting courses...hees only my football coach) ive been in his Audi TT Turbo aswell but only doing 90!

speedometers dont lie, speedometers dont have anything to do with the possible speed of your car or bike. I am tired of people looking at a speedometer and assuming that thats the top speed of the vehicle. Take my Good Ol' CB750 for instance. In 1980 it was the sportbike of its time. The speedometer, due to government restriction was only allowed to go up to 85 MPH. The Bike easily pulls 120. Then take for instance a car that has a 400 MPH speedometer. Of course this never happens, but the car could have a 2 cyclinder 26 horsepower engine. the speedometer doesnt matter.

The fastest i've gone in a car?? well... in my Audi S2, I've gone 164 MPH but my max is 196 in a Bugatti 11. God that was sweet..! on a friends hayabusa i went 227 mph... its a turbo charged 1305 cc monster with 439 BHP and NOS... to bad he totalled it and died doing it...

when i got my permit, after awhile he complained it took so long to get somewhere since i went the speed limit well about 5 over but, after a while he got used to it and he started sayin that he needs to slow down, but he goes 80 in 55, the funny thing was he got a ticket 3 hours after getting his lincense going 65 in a 35

i did about 200 km\h, It was about 3 a.m niceest nioght ever middle of the summer and some little celica did a fly by..it was stock thou...he laerned in about 50 feet not to do that with stock car.
