Enough of calling BS on other people's stories....my personal record is 80mph in the 2.7L 4 banger truck. Yes, it's Toyota Tacoma, and for a truck it doesn't have a lot of low end, but it pulls right to the redline. The higher it revved the harder it shoved me into the seat. It wasn't fast, really (it has 159hp and 180ft-lb of torque) but I was expecting the power to drop off when the revs got high.

Tacoma's are damn nice trucks...

That's nothing, you know my mum's Civic? Well today I got a Paul Walker Turbo Booster Performance Supercharger Mega-Fast kit. Boosts the power to around about a million brake horsepower, did 400mph in YOUR MUM seconds, could have gone faster though, a sheep got in my way. Darn animals.

I forget the day last week but when I took my brother shopping, I went about 90 (it might have been a little less) around a corner on the freeway and boy did I feel the massive understeer (then again, my car only has Premium Ride suspension).

On a random note, I want to replace that middle emergency blinker button with a "NawZ" button so I can go 1,000 MPH in my car and blow the tires clean off the wheels.

Ahh, well I'm not sure if my car is governed to a speed or not. I've gone 125, and was very close to topping it out, or so my RPMs say!!! I think it would be better if I had all 4 of my gears!!! :p

I did 125 coming home from school today because there's this one chick (she drives a Jetta) who kept tailgating me. When she was trying to overtake, I was in fifth gear, switched down to 4th, back to fifth, then sixth! I never saw her after. My fastest one so far.

What year was your truck? Because the line4 in my Tacoma definitely pulls at higher rpm. It's nothing to compare to a sports car, but it will move if you push it. And although it's supposed to be designed as a truck motor and revs low it still has the "rev me high for power" attitude.

It was a Ferrari F430, my car is stock, I use it as a DD.

I mainly race on the track but theres those occasional street race, I'm stupid for doing it but its fun when doing it safe, which really it never is.

You knew this was coming anyways. I'm looking at both pictures and the first picture most certainly depicts a V6 Deluxe Premium 40th. The necessity to change the badge, rims, and hood is null and void. The hood is not lighter than a GT's, the rims do not allow for the wider rubber that the GT needs to simply have traction, and in the second picture the hood looks to have a cowl. Maybe you can tell me what is on the hood?

Now, I'm not trying to be an ass at all but can you get a picture from the right or left rear vantage points so that I can see not only the rear end but the side of the car? The whole swap of components makes zero sense at all. There's no shame in owning a V6 Mustang and we wont disown you if you don't have a GT. I just see clear differences between both that any stang lover would notice right off the bat.

Got the hood for free, weighed them and the v6 hood was *marginally lighter and easier to see with. You have to admit the non-functional hood is annoying to try and drive with. It was an easy install to do. I really dont know what to tell you about the wheels, I bought it like that.

Not trying to be an ass, but im not taking anymore pictures. (its really annoying to go outside take a picture and resize the pictures from 4000x3000 to 450x375 and stuff) I dont think i should have to prove myself here.

Well.....no I didn't have a digital readout (I know how fast I was going only because I was stopped by the cops minutes after I reached that limit) and yes I have balls...3 in fact:) lol. As it turns out the cop who busted me is the father of one of my friends so he reduced the charges. I walked, err drove, away with a $50 fine.

The thing was that doing that 0-100 mph sprint felt like we where going twice as fast as we where in the 300c. You would need a lot of power to get into 6th gear in an RX-8, a lot more. Most vehicles will not achieve top speed in overdrive even with a large increase in power.

The top speed in an RX-8 is achieved in 4th gear and will hold it in 5th IF you're at the limit already. It won't accelerate in 5th to top speed.

I don't understand what you mean. How long do you have to maintain the speed for to claim the speed.

The car will easily do 110 mph on the flat. I have no idea what sort of tyres are on the car. I just go with whatever is recommended by the mechanic. In addition I think that safety ratings are often under-estimated to be safer. The lifeboats on the Titanic were tested to be able to hold more people they were actually designed to take?

I really did do 124 mph, and yes the car is very unstable at that speed but it was on a stretch of dual-carriageway, which is pretty straight, although there is a bit of a corner towards the end of the hill.
