Anyway, i was just searching around my usual sites for some updates on any car news and saw some updated pics for the 2007 bugatti veyron... They are nice wallpaper pics and thought id share... As for the question, i heard that volkswagen has discontinued the production of veyrons and killed bugatti as a company in general... But i see that theres a 2007 model and was kind of confused.. Has volkswagen changed their minds or something?
Thanks for looking.. here is the link..

Bugatti is building 300 cars and they've only done about 50 or so. So they will keep building until all 300 are delivered. And the rumor is that they will be, essentially dead after the Veyron. But no one knows the future.

you apparenlty have no idea.
btw, they need to be on the veyron. not only do they help with traction, but larger tire means than theres more displacement within the tire to carry the pressure of a heavy car, such as the veyron.
if it had smaller tires and weighed less, that thing could potentially actually be amazing. as is, its basically so so besides its top speed, which btw is aided by those big tires. if it had smaller tires the acceration would be better but top speed would be less as well

Im guessing new tire change to be $10,000+
Not like the owner cant afford it or anything but thats a lot!

The 2007 says it has 1001 hp. I remember the 2005-06 veryon having 981 but various websites claimed 1001, some 981. Is it offical that the 2007 really has 1001?
How would a convertable look?

There was a rumor that VW wanted to sell Bugatti and Lamborghini ( I know Lamborghini is the Audiīs sister, but Audi belongs to VW)
But I already read a newspaper and it was said that VW is still interested in keeping the both awesome companies.so i determine that VW doesnīt sell the both anymore.
VW plans with bugatti to make another monster for next year.
There should be three different models.
1. A luxury sedan, which should cost as much as Bugatti Veyron
2. A sportcar, which should be the competitor of 911, Gallardo and F430
3. Bugatti veyron ( nuthin changed), but it should be a cabrio and has got 1200 bhp.
There are the plans of Bugatti and VW...i donīt know exactly, if there rumors are true...but i dont think that they are going to produce three different models..otherwise there would be so mass productions, which are not aceptable for bugatti.

I'm pretty sure that 1001 hp is at the crank, and 981 hp is at the wheels. It's the same thing, nothing has changed at all. Those pictures have been around since the car was released. I think a convertable would look extremely weird, with those large intakes and all.

I heard 1001hp and 987bhp, and I think brake horsepower is horsepower at the crank.

Fatter tires create more drag than skinny tires. The Veyron would theoretically have a higher top speed with less rubber on the road, but not much.

true
btw, when talking about tire size i was refering to height, not width.

Oh sorry, usually I think of width when someone mentions tire sizes.

It has 1001ps, which is a metric equivalent to hp but each ps is worth slightly less than 1hp meaning that the Veyron has 981hp. Both are from the crank.
