That's just my opinion. I find it soulless.

Looks very nice. Mercedes need to become more modern and stylish looking. They seem to have had the same style for their cars for years. This design is much more modern and interesting.

true they need to adapt to a new style cause they have just been a similar design for a few years it will be nice to seee a change

I agree. Basically what Mercedes is doing now, is taking the S-class and making variants from it (eg: C-class mini S-class, E-class smaller S-class, CL is a GT S-class...). They're pretty much the same cars, harldy different looks or anything... gone off Mercedes.

I just think that it has no soul. The old one was really nice, but the new model just has too many square ends. The front is wrong. I can just about tolerate the back. Sport or normal, it's too ugly. It has lost the drama in Merc's thirty years ago.

i think its a bit silly to release the station wagen a year later. alot of people buy the estates and after a year the whole publicity of the new E class will be numbed so people will just get a bimmer or an audi

That I don't like (the chops anyway). The front looks like a cross between a Lexus GS and an old, old Mercedes, and the rear light clusters look like they're borrowed from the Fiat Stilo Multiwagon - not good.

All cars from the past 20 years have been soulless, apart from the F40 and Ford GT. But at least the E Class estate used to look pretty fine, now it's just blah.

I reckon it looks horrible. The roofline is way too high for that car, and the rear light clusters look unproportionly big, which is not a good tihng. Looks as if the back is going to topple over and just fall on the floor. I want to see a coupe version.

It's the front which ruins it for me.

I don't mind the front. I used to hate it, but after a year or half or whatever it is, it has grown on me... or maybe the current design just looks too dated by now.
It's the rear end that bothers me. It looks like a Kia from behind, just like the new C Class.

The new M3 is the only car I know of which was exactly like the chops.

i remember a sedan chop, it was a S-class based chop, ugly, and this is based also on the S65 AMG, i remember that picture because thats what i see for my profile picture when i log in to my computer...:D but the fact is that im maybe going to see many of these, so watch out if you come here, but now after seeing this chop, i think i like it, not love it, but like it, it would grow on me, but gosh that rear, its a huge edition of the Merc B-class (not released) concept headlight, dont quite like it

Hmm I quite like it. It looks very aggressive from the front and the back on the estate reminds me of an RS6 Avant. But these are just renderings so the final product could look like a pile of horsesh*t.

That S Class estate looked alright but no competition for the Vectra VXR estate in my opinion !!!

That doesn't look too bad, although the front of it needs a little clearing up in my opinion. On the whole, it doesn't look too bad, pretty S-Class like, but those are just chops I suppose, have to wait until the finished product comes out and then we can all judge.

that looks okay, im sure its based on the new C-class, that looks good, but i dont quite like the headlights on this one

I dont like the looks.
I think it will be almost as big as previous S classes!:eek:
