Ok, since this was off topic in the supercars thread who here thinks there is NO such thing as a Lamborghini supercar. Diablo, Contauch etc.

I reckon it is, Diablo and Countach were insane cars in those days! And still is of course.

what else would it be. econobox?
i guess i could understand if someone says it's an exotic rather than a supercar. but... there's kind of a fine line between the two, i don't think anyone has the right to be classifying and being all-knowing about these cars none of us will ever own.
edit: just read the supercar thread in comparos... and i'll say again. i really don't think any of us have the knowledge or experience to be snotty about what's a supercar and what's not. it becomes a fine line with anything that expensive that no one will ever buy, so what's the point of even spending our time defining what is and what isn't a damn "supercar".
so the diablo, yes, for me, counts, as does a bunch of other stuff i'll never have the money to buy.

i think they are
Wasnt the countach the fastest car in the world at one stage?
Any car with that feat deserves the title of supercar.
i cant remember if the diablo was as fast as that, but i still think the diablo is a supercar

One of its off shoots were

I think Lambo is a real Supercar. They make cars that belong to the fastest off the world, so why not?? If they aren't, then a lot other cars aren't supercars.

Ditto, the Diablo is a direct descendent of the Muira, which is, don't bother arguing against this BTW, the original "supercar". As such, the Diablo is pretty good at following that line, and therefore, is a supercar as well...
Also, the line between exotic and supercar is vague as hell, so anyone can claim different, and feel free to! 8)

I wouldn't consider it a super car just a very high end exotic, like most ferarris but better

The Diablo is definitely both a "supercar" and a "super car" in my eyes... and an exotic too.
And, as Ghalos said: "the line between exotic and supercar is vague as hell".

Not to weaken my arguement from earlier...if by supercar, we mean truly rare pieces of automotive ecstasy only a few come to mind, the McLaren F1, Ferrari F40, F50, Enzo...Saleen S7, and Porsche 959...I imagine I could come up with others...but I need more coffee first.

Yeah, but I also put the whole, "why the diablo is a supercar" post up top...but that's all logic based, this is more emotional and personal choice based, which is how we judge them...As such, the "vagueness" still exists...*head hurts*

This post IS relevent to the topic BluCamSS, why the hell wont you explain why the Diablo is not a supercar, you got to give a reason if you are this positive that its not one, rather than just waiting until someone else brings out an answer and you say "yer, thats it"...

How about all of you just drop it?-It's been goin' on for a damn week. :?
I've explained it how he would've, using the F1, F40-Enzo, and 959 post earlier, he quoted that as saying someone's got it, that's the reason.
But I personally think that the Diablo fits in with the supercar regime simply because it's in the family line that started it all. The Miura. We're all entitled our opinion. And we don't always have to back up every niggling thing we say, now if you'll excuse me, I'm late for my job.
