Alpina introduce's its new B3 model,, based on the already fantastic BMW 335i,Alpina further tweaks the engine to produce 360 bhp and and extra 100Nm to the current torque figure.

The only "bad thing" here is that it only comes with the 6 speed auto,,

0-60 times are achieved under 5 sec and this car has a top speed of 285 km/h ! making this the fastest/hottest 3-series BMW model (until the new M3 officially debuts)

I don't get it. Why is Alpina doing up automatic Bimmers.

Alpina always does that with BMW's, sticks a slush box in it and calls it a "B-something".

I like it, although the rims are not to my taste and the interior is a little over-zealous, but the performance is pretty good, bi turbo sounds good, and top speed is good aswell.

Yeah, someone at the garage down the street from me had an old 5 series B10, and me and me mate though it had a 4.0 litre V10, turns out it had a 3.5 V6, and was crap, lol. Nice green colour though.

I like the red/pink interior, bit different, isn't it. I've always liked the way Alpina don't tend to redesign the exterior of the BMWs and just basically add more horsepower.

Never realized how flat the front is. Anyways I like what Alpina does to bimmers, even more than Schnitzer. Either way I wouldn't buy it I'd wait for an M3.

Meh I have a brake feddish and those don't really get my goat. The rest of the car is cool.

now they have officially made me think that the BMW had made a great job designing the E90...its ugly, i mean, this huge front lip spoiler, the side skirts, the rims, dosent really suit the car as its just abit too big, the rear looks okay, i like the little spoiler and the rear bumper thing, and wow, a Bi-turbo engine, 4 exhausts, cool, the interior, again, worst than ever, the red and the black dont go together in that BMW and that blue dial panel just looks ugly, and an automatic gearbox, sucks...

i think they added HP to this one, not same as the Alpina Z8 which Alpina changed a smaller engine to it and replaced the manual gearbox, stupid...

nice and ugly.. all in one.. lol.. under 5 seconds? the 335i sedan managed a 4.8 to a 100km/h.. so this should be alot quciker!!

Sweet exterior, horrendous interior. Use a black leather lining and the car would be perfect. Oh, and don't forget the 6-speed m/t :).
Extra 100 Nm of torque sounds delicious.

You mean 3.5 L I-6. BMW has never had a V6 engine.

i did. i did think the 335i couldn't get any better. well, it could loose some weight, but that's not that big of a deal. BMW has this way of defying physics, where heavier less powered cars are faster and handle better than their competition's lighter more powerful cars.

but, i'm sure if i brought a 335i 6-speed to Alpina and told them to "B3" it, they wouldn't gripe. i don't oppose the red interior, except when the exterior is blue. a red or black exterior with that interior would be gorgeous. if a red, maybe like, a dark cherry red.

The e90 is a bit heavy. When I drove a 335ia coupe it felt as heavy as my dads 03 530i sport. If I bought a 335i I would go to Vishnu Performance Systems. To have them download their performance software that will add 55 to 60whp and 70-80lb-ft just for $1,300.00.

dont think thats possible , Alpina will sell the car as a complete car and u cant go and buy a 335i and turn it into a B3 ..

how is that not possible? do they just conjure a 3-series to use? they just take a standard 3-series and change it until it becomes a B3. now who's to say that if i brought my own 3-series to them and told them to do what they do, that they wouldn't do it? i don't see why they wouldn't. it's not like the 3-series that BMW gives them to start with are any different. as long as i'm a paying customer, they'll jump at the opportunity to do it. if they don't, they're are bad company and don't deserve my business.

and besides, what if i bought a 3-series, then only after i bought it learned about what Alpina could do with my car. would they tell me "sorry bub, shoulda learned about us before you bought your BMW."?

You can take any BMW to Alpina and they will tune it for you. The only thing is that it will not have an Alpina VIN like the factory cars they sell.

im not sure myself mayb it is possible , i read somewhere that they cant do it to a standard 335i ,, but i could be wrong

Kudos to Ghalos for trashing this.

Kudos to sohcvtec for least observant post in '07.

Lp640; exactly what that is "racer" have you felt? Tell us.
