Looks a lot better actually. The rims make the car look a lot cleaner, and so doe the gills on the sides and the grilles at the front. Pretty subtle changes, but nice ones. Is that front grille mesh? It looks like it's kinda smiling!

I don't really like it, like it better now, but still don't like it.

It's smiling! I like it. it looks less old fashioned than the old one, which, in this case, is a good thing.

Ian Callum is crazy. He said he designed the XK inspired by Kate Winselt, so I guess it could be true that he designed this one after Tom Ford... whoever he is.
He should design the next Jag after Chuck Norris. That'd be badass.

I reckon they have styled it on one of the many cars from the movie 'cars'.

Uncanny resemblance, or massive lawsuit ?

Overall it looks pretty good but that bottom radiator grill thing looks horrible to me. Flat up the top and bendy down the bottom just doesn't work. I'd rather have the older one just for that.
Nice rims though.

It looks great, but perhaps too sporty for its class.

Oh, I wouldn't say that. After all, the concept of a sporty 'limousine' type car might appeal to a lot of people. Certainly, the redesign is in better line with what's going on beneath the skin - it the best handling car in its class, after all.

But I'm not entirely sure if I like that. One of the nicest things of the XJ for me was its classic styling. Yes, it was a modern car, but it didn't look it. Which was nice. Also, I'm not sure if the bumper redesign really matches the style of the body panels - Jaguar didn't want to spend loads of money changing the body, it seems, and so it's ended up a bit of a compromise - Callum's done his best to freshen up a car whose actual shape is very old fashioned, and not just the detailing. It's starting to grow on me - my first reaction was basically . but I've decided it's quite a good job on the whole, but I'm still not sure if the bumpers & skirts really suit the bodywork - on their own, each looks great, but together, I'm not sure. Still, I like it more than I did when I first saw it earlier this week, so give it time, and I might end up loving it.

Wow I like that alot. The pointier front reminds me of the XC-F concept. And a 500bhp V8 sounds awesome. Hope the interior is as nice as the current model.
