Actually i liked the old model better, but this one isn't that bad either.

look at the rear of the car and you will want the previous model badly...

Nothing, we are just comparing this facelift to the original design that's all. I think we all agree that this is a very important car for porsche....

New shapes on the bonnet and bits of random chrome are hardly going to make the Cayenne look any better. A facelift of the Cayenne is like putting lipstick and makeup on Jackie Stallone; there's no real point, it's still going to make you throw up last night's Chow Mein. They should start from scratch and not try and make it look like a 911.

And while we're on the ugly SUV topic, the odd looking Q7 is no longer odd and is stunning in 'real life'. I used to hate it, thought I'd retract my original opinion.

Q7 > Cayenne, but then again...

if not for this car , Porsche would'nt have made so much money and profits ,.

one thing i can tell u , no matter how ugly u think it is , its still a porsche and alot of people like the fact that its a Suv with a soul of a sports car ..

which is Y , in my country , U r guaranteed to see at least 4-5 Cayyen's in a day !! they're everywhere !! V6 V8 and turbo models !!

I'd rather have an Audi Q7...or even a Mazda CX-7!!! I never liked Cayennes. Remove the Porsche mark and Id hate it more!!!

Older model looked ten times better, I was a faun of that. Now the brand new stupid grilles, and the pudgey and snouty front end doesn't really do anything for me. Rear lights suck aswell. Overall, the older one was better.

Same goes for a lot of cars nowadays.

I liked he old one better... for now at least - I guess it will grow on me as soon as he old one starts looking dated.

I don't mind the grill of the new one, it's just those head and tail lights. Jesus, they're ugly.

it looks like they went from making the cayenne a Porsche Carrera monsterous and ugly and crappy to making a new 997 Turbo, a monsterous and ugly and crappy POS

they are not all gettin worse i know there are some great classics out there

The 911 is one of the few cars that just gets better every time they release a new one, but man... I stil miss the looks of the 996. The 997 is pretty weird to me, because it's like they're trying to catch the styling of the 993 which is pretty weird because it's only two generations or 10 years old.

My dad owned one like that ^^ !! same colour , black interior ..

Sadly we had to sell it because long time ago it rained hard and some of the rain drained into the garage (we have an underground garage for the special cars ;) ) and water went in the car ,,so costs were high for repairing ,, which then lead us to sell it :(

I think someone should do the ugly thread game. Someone posts a car name - e.g. Porsche Cayenne Turbo (2008) and the next person rates it out of 10 on ugliness, and then posts the name of another car...

The Cayenne seems to have changed little outside - I grant you the light clusters have differed and subtle bodykit changes have occured, but all Porsche seemed to have achieved is to have made the car less attractive. The 911 facelift is the same - the car looked good already, and they messed it up. Perhaps a new approach rather than this one is needed to truly do justice to the Cayenne.

I liked the old one better. I also thought the old one was one of the ugliest cars ever, which should give you a fair impression of what I think of this aesthetic abomination.

For that price, i would rather buy a ML63 AMG. Much faster and i like the styling for the M-class better.

Not too bad. It looks a bit sleeker now. I hope it rules off road like the old Cayenne did. My only problem with the styling is the front center grille. I think it should be extended a bit lower.

Actually, you must see this car in real life and then you should say whether is ugly or nice. =)
I couldn't say much about the new one as I have never seen one before.
I'd say the old one looks okay.
