a dutch coachbuild does the 599 'GTO'
from evo mag
Coachbuilding seems very much back in vogue, with Ferrari the brand of choice when it comes to bespoke bodies. Here’s the latest one we’ve come across, from newly founded Dutch outfit Vandenbrink Design.
Called the Vandenbrink GTO, presumably in honour of the famous 250 GTO its shape resembles, it’s based on the Ferrari 599 GTB.
Vandenbrink Design was set up in the summer of 2006 by designer Michiel van den Brink and entrepreneur Robert Koumans. As an opening gambit the automotive design company produced this ‘Ferrari 599 GTO Mugello’ design study which was so well received that it was decided to put it into limited production.
Vandenbrink intends to build just five GTOs – three of which are already sold – with the bodies to be fashioned by Dutch Ferrari specialist Hietbrink.

Damn. I've this pic before but it still has me starin at it. The Dutch can sure design a car, and if it's based off of the 599, then exspect better handling than the 599, this car should be lighter, more agile, and hopefully with a good power-to-wieght ratio. But Pinnaferelia can still design a body of a car to amazing detail.

Thank goodness they're only making 5! That thing is so ugly, I think it's because there's far too much going on at the front.
It looks a bit like and RX-8 actually, but the RX-8 doesn't have the strange grille at the front, which seems to have an M on it :s, maybe it is a Mazda in disguise..:p
It looks like a TVR, from the side, and I can see the 599 in it too..hmmm..it's very strange!

The front is horrible. Its all bulky and bumpy is just doesnt fit right. It looks ever worse than the regular 599. The other picture is ok but still n where near as good as the original 250 GTO.

Can't really say I like this car. The 599 was a work of art; this, not as such. It's all a bit too fussy, one of the great things about a car is the lines, this one doesn't really have good lines to be honest. Rims aren't at all that great either. Oh, and please please don't give an Italian car a name which ends in 'GTO'.

That's like putting jam on cheese.

Woah, they've stolen the styling from the 250 GTO. Man, this car looks absolutely awesome. It looks to be extremely aerodynamic too.

Meh I don't like it. Bonnet looks like its from a TVR Tuscon. Back looks like an Alfa 8C. It looks too flash IMO.

no, no, argh, still no...

its looking okay, but thats not what i expected from what it would be, well the front, the bonnet is ugly, i dont know what word to say but its just abit too ugly, though it was pretty similar to the old one, i dont like the grills, too big, the front is the best face of the car, well the side, i hate those side grills, they look ugly, the vnets thingies behind the window, ugly, though the lines looks quite good, i dont see Saturn Sky rims, but they sure dosent look quite good, well the rear, the diffuser looks abit weird with those exhausts on it, the lights, eww...no thanks

arent they the rims off an astra VXR? Opel Astra OPC for the euro's
The original 599 looks way better than this, can't see the point in taking a ferrari and making it ugly and then trying to sell it on for a higher price cos its "exclusive"
