Which is ther better car? Or are these apples and oranges? I am just in awe of these two cars in all aspects and can't simply choose which one is better, or which (if you had the resources) would you buy?

I would definitely get the Scaglietti. I don't think the Ferrari is that ugly, and couldn't care less if it is thought of as ugly. It is better in every other way by a long shot.
However the price is very different, although I would still go for the Ferrari, despite the depreciation which is probably also bad on the Maserati.

The scaglietti of course

The Quattroporte, but only in black. It has that rare Italian sense of occasion, and it's not as flambouyant as the Scag. And it'll make you look like a gangster.

The Quattroporte looks best by far, but the Ferrari is a Ferrari... I mean, man, If I were handed the keys I'd take the Ferrari without thinking twice, but if money was an issue I'd definitely go for the Maserati.

You could only have one hot chick (nice Avtar) in the Fezz, but there'd be three waiting for you in the Masser.
How much is the price difference, anyways?

I would have to go for the Maser, I not a person that likes people turning their heads to look at me... (dont know why). Plus I find that the Maser is a lot better looking. Always been a Ferrari fan but sorry have to say Maser. My auntie in Hong Kong has a red one of these (Maser).

There is nothing flamboyant about the 612, and you will most deffinitely not look like a gangster in it. That's what Lamborghinis are for. Plus, the 612 is a 2 + 2, it just so happens it has 2 doors.
Personally, I would take the 612, because it is one of my favourite cars on the road. It has a look of elegance to it, something I like in a ferrari, but also has 4 seats, and a screamer of an engine.

im not sure about those of u who say a Scaglietti is a "head turner" coz IMO it isnt.. there mayB one only in my country which i've seen so far but the car looks very plain and doesnt have the prescnece of ,say an F430. but the Car is a fantasticly Fast GT..has a wonderful V12..a nice interior (which u can personally customize)..
The Quatroporte is also a nice car , with lavish interior, a nice ferrari derived V8 and stunning looks.
personally ill go with Ferrari .

How much is the price difference, anyways? The Ferrari has four seats too. But it has significantly smaller boot... which means the three chicks can only bring a bikini.

Scaglietti. The Maserati isgood and all, but it's just not that exciting.

The maserati for sure, its got two doors a bigger boot, better interior, two back seats that don't require legless passengers, and just as much speed, and since they just sorted out the gear change probelm you'd have to be mad not to. Maserati is a car that will have much more use, it could be used everyday and on holidays, also the interior is a much nicer place to be.

How could you say that Quattroporte looks better...it looks like a Buick Lucerne. I would take the Scaglietti. It's a Ferarri, it looks great, and it's fast.

mayb the Buick Lucerne is the one that looks like the Quattroporte ? :p

Quattroporte for me (the Sport GT version), is just more practical than the Scaglietti...

The Maserati looks nothing like the Buick. The only real similarity taht you could even mention discretely is the "portholes" which are located on each car's front fenders, although ones looks much better.(Q)
As for the comparo, I would pick the Quattroporte. Don't get me wrong, Ferrari is a car in its own group of awesomeness, I love Ferrari's but here the Ferrari is not enough for me. As some have already said, the Maserati in black would be mighty fine. It has the 2 extra doors which would make it easier for friends to enter if they choose to travel along. I prefer the looks of the trident over the prancer inside and out, and if I ever had the money to be able to afford it I would certainly buy it as an everyday car.

Sometimes I think the 612 is a great car for the wrong maker, and the already great Quattroporte would be perfect with a v12 dropped in it or making the sportier version a coupe perhaps, but that would of course contradict the very reason it went out having four doors and all.
In the styling department, a black Quattro.. with red leather is just perfect, a sense of occasion everytime indeed, notches above the 612. though the 612 is just this engineering masterpiece with the loud ferrari headturning stuff chopped off, in red or black pls.

If I wanted a Ferrari, I'd get a 599.
If I wanted a Ferrari with back seats, I'd get a Quattroporte.

^that's the most simple and accurate answer to this comparo.

Have spent some time with te QP and let me tell you guys the boot isnt that much bigger than one in the 612....both are awesome cars but for me the 612 would be my choice, such a stylish car, esp in TDF blue with tan leather....then there is the V12, but mine would have to have the GTC pack.....

Anywayz...I will take the Ferrari. I never like Maserati (any car) except the MC12.

Another reason I would get a Maserati would be because the History behind Maserati is 'longer' than Ferrari.

The scaglietti of course
But why??
Neither car is 'better' than the other one. I preger the Quattroporte simply on looks though...
Another reason I would get a Maserati would be because the History behind Maserati is 'longer' than Ferrari. That makes it better? Just curious as to the logic behind that. Following that line of thinking you'd buy a Ford over a Ferrari...
