The new audi R8 will help develop the revised Gallardo. Audi's new injection system will filter into the Gallardo's V10 to bost power to 550bhp. Lightweight aluminium construction of revised componants will reduce the weight and a new revised all-wheel drive system will help traction. Plus a new steering rack will increase steering feel. Sounds good to me...

well i read it'll be towards the end of this year, so september time. but, i guess its just developments from the SE spec and the new R8...

It needs more than 550 hp. The Audi will get a 600 bhp V10 by 2009, and the Gallardo is supposed to be faster than the R8! Geez, power hungry Europanskis can be fun at times.

yep, ferrari is working on a new F430 challenge stradale, which should turn out to be a good bit faster than a 911 GT3 RS, not sure till they release the stats what it wil rival

is that official ?? if it is then i agree with u, but i think Lambo wont allow them to do so , so i think the Audi will be powered by a detuned lambo engine , somewhere around 520-530 bhp.

That sounds about right. Probably the next R8 will get the lambo's old V10, with 500bhp, and the new gallardo will get the 550bhp engine. The Gallardo would probably have to have over 600bhp before the R8 gets a twin turbo V10.

I believe I read it on Wikipedia, and you can't trust wikipedia for sh*t, so I suppose it's not official... but they claim they got the info from Motortrend. Meh, i don't know what to believe. Apparently they will aslo make a CGT rival for 2008.

I cannot wait. The Gallardo is one of my favourite cars. But most of it is down to the looks, it's a stunning machine. If it gets all fancy pants, too angular and crap, then I probably won't like it as much. From what I've heard, the steering needs feel so the new rack will probably help cure that. Oooh the waitingness begins. :)

seriously tho i think gallardos looks sweet. have only seen one in real life (apart from my destruction derby ones :D)... seen it a few times tho. a yellow one that i have seen cruising around in melbourne...

Yeah, well I dont think its gonna be a 'new' Gallardo, just a revised one. I read this in Autocar (one of the more reliable car magazines) and I think its been featured in Evo as well.

The new lambo wont beat the challenge stradale when ferrari lets it drop. but for the money, both wont come near the GT3 RS, but for the track, I'm takin either the 430 or the GT3 RS
