They made the car higher, they should be shot, how could they, the Lp640's low height made it the mean car it is

It just looks like a boggo Murci, if it was any colour it should be black or yellow, white does not suit Murcielagos and the rims have been ruined, all in all it doesn't actually look that nice to be honest, but if there are some more pics I might change my mind, the performance is still bang on sodding amazing, but judging by the looks from these pictures I'll take a normal LP640.

I hate Hamann...Really, I honestly do.
They could take Kate Beckinsale and turn her into a disfigured, unattractive pile of bodyparts.
Really, these guys just add matte-ish black wheels, and wings.

what preformance, Hamann have did nothing to it,
BTW why did they bang a wing in the back, the lp640's long body creates enough downforce for it not to need one, but they stick it on anyway

ROFLM!!!
this thing has got to be a joke....

It looks like an old Diablo kit car..
LOL..what a turd

I was impying that the normal LP640s performance was brilliant.

Adding the wing and raising the car were stupid mods.....but it looks good imo:o lol

The only thing I like about this car is, if you look at the side profile shot, it looks like an old school diablo GTR.
That is it however.

Stock looks much better. I hate Hamman rims. I like the wing though.

They were just looking forward to do something new and they did!!!!. It is a shame it doesn´t work. It looks like a silly lambo SUV.
But anyway there are so many companies out there that there must be some other way:) . On the other hand, if I had an LP640 I would leave it alone, it is radical enough for my taste.

I have to agree with Driftster on this one looking like a Diablo kitcar. But the real Diablo looked much meaner than this. And what's the point of raising a car who's naturally supposed to have a low center of gravity? That would be like trying to put a 10" lift kit on my car.
But yet this is another "signature" design from Hamann. Despite this, I don't really have any taste in what Hamann does to a car mostly because of their past associations with Mercedes-Benz. I can almost imagine someone autosculpting this in Carbon.

What are the Hamann designers smoking? Raising an Lp640? No, that just doesn't work.

HAHAHA
I was just thinking of this..
this screams out Carbon..
No actually..
This screams out Midnight club dub edition..
My Murcielago looked almost identical to this one, just not so tall

The car is very high, this ruins it's profile. I would take the stock one over this any day.

Jan 26, 2007, 7:52 PM
They probably need to heighten it to fit those ugly a** rims that they always use.
TWIN TURBO
Jan 26, 2007, 7:55 PM
^ they didn't do that with the previous Murcielago and it had those rims i think..

Ugly Ugly Ugly! Those hideous rims are back! :O Hamman always knew how to stuff up perfect cars... this is one of them, only one good point. I like the rear spoiler makes it more racer which to me isnt that bad. Do those ugly black rims actually serve a purpose?

Jan 27, 2007, 3:10 AM
wow, they suceeded what they were meant to now, make cars look ugly, they made the 335i very well i think, it was way better with those rims before these BBS looking ones were made...
well it is ugly, the car is higher, that sucks, the whole car looks UGLY with those rims and spoiler...its juts ugly

Jan 27, 2007, 3:13 AM
oh yea, that would be it...for the whole tuner world...but not the whole world...
but eww once they just tune nothing but the engine abit, it will do..but with those crazy things? now thanks

Urr.... oooh. Hmm... I hate it. No engine mods, just crappy rims, dodgy bodykit, and stupid suspension mods.
The only thing they did to this is ruin it. I'm not even gonna bother saving the pics to my comp.

It's alright... for some reason it doesn't look as aggressive as the stock one, which, in a world of Emma Watson legality countdowns and remote control spoilers, is a good thing.
Also, I'm sure that the increased ride height has an aerodynamic advantage. Hamann spend tons upon tons of money and time in a wind tunnel in Stuttgart for a very good reason.

Jan 27, 2007, 7:14 AM
I prefer the stock LP460 wayyy more, Making it higher just wrecks the whole car and the rims are just crappy and disappointing. Also they did so little to it, why didn't the improve they performance!

Well, considering that air passing under the car would actually go faster if the distance between the car and the road was smaller, then I'm not really sure why they raised the ride height. Of course, this is considering that they have a flat floor and a diffuser of sorts.

Hamann always seem to tune the cars which SHOULDN'T be tuned, and then give them 100 " wheels and a spoiler the size of a small planet. It ruins the looks (and no doubt the performance) of the car. HAMANN, keep to tuning BMW's like you used to, not churning out this ugly crud.

That car is the best thing that ever happenet to Novitech. THink of all the Hamann costumers they'll get. The Novitech Enzo is pretty crazy, and people will run to that once they see whar Hamann does. Why would you raise a car like that? I don't car howcool big rims are you can't fuglizise a car like that. It's not human.

I thought the car looked unusually high...
Hamann is awful. All they do is stick shitty rims and wings onto cars that should not be touched. They have managed to ruin one of my top 5 favourite cars... Un-f*cking-believable.
Novitech! That's the other make... It had slipped my mind for a while but now I remember they're horrible creations...
I wanted to make a thread about these kind of makes (tuners) saying how much I hate them and argue my point but I decided otherwise... I mean, who doesn't like bright yellow, black-rimmed, winged-up Ferraris, eh?
sonicadg
Jan 27, 2007, 3:24 PM
^^^i agree breakfan, i hate these tuners soo much, they can't just take a car take a few expensive parts and attach them to the car and call it it theres, it dosen't work like that, it probaly makes the car worse to drive, and you'll look stupid with badboy spoilers on your ferrari
Maserati Man
Jan 27, 2007, 3:37 PM
Hamann does the exact same thing to every car they tune. they put those not-very-attractive black rims on a car, paint it white, and slap a little wing on the back and call it a night.
Venom 1000
Jan 27, 2007, 3:39 PM
Actually the added bling (upped ride height and spoiler) probably decrease steering response and increase wind noise at high speed. So, I can't see the point in buying this over a stock one.....

Jan 27, 2007, 3:42 PM
AND they'll charge you more for the horrible-Hamann...

There are a few dodgy tuners out there, but there are some very good ones as well. Hamann, Novitech etc are the dodgy ones. Companies like RUF and Edelbrock do actually do stuff for your car other than put a wing on it.

I prefer a stock LP640 over this Hamann anyday ...

They may have done something to the interior, significantly reduced the weight, or given it engine modifications. It would be pretty pointless if they've just added a spoiler and some ugly wheels.

It has become their trademark. They aren't allowed to put a Hamann badge on their cars because that would piss off Lamborghini, so they had to go new ways. I kinda like the idea of using the same wheels on every single car, but these guys just chose the wrong kind of rims.

it could be a nice idea
but as you said they chose the completely WRONG rims

I don't think there are any engine mods, the power and torque is the same, if you look at the chart.

True, I didn't mean to generalise. There are a bunch of great tuners, but i stay put to the idea that cars like Lamborghinis, Ferraris etc should not touched.

I don't see why they should leave Ferrari's and Lambo's stock. They should keep them away from Hamann for sure but Auto Koing and a few others do a really good job. Such as the TT Diablo SV.
