I have a 1984 Porsche 928 Gemballa Wide Body

This kit was produced in the 80's and at the time it was worth over $16,000.00 just for the body panels.

Is there anyone out there that still has one as I would like to network with those owners of Gemballa 928's

Mine sports BBS Gold Spoke wheels with 330-30-17 Tires

I am redoing the suspension and paint so here are some pics of the process if I am allowed to post since i just joined this site today.

fark if that things real it could well be worth a fair bit of dosh!!!!!!!!

there are a few in the UK with an owners club, but other than looking that up on the internet, i#m not much more help

I hope to debut it in Summer 2007... It will be black on black with possibly Gull Wing doors as I havent decided which ones I will fabricate. The wheels are the Porsche Gold BBS that you can see in my Avatar. I got the car with the original Gemballa Kit from NY for practically nothing and I am also redoing the motor.

I don't think it's a sought after car and I don't see ANY around on other boards. It's kind of like the Martini version of the 924. They are unique, but lost in time.

im pulling a prank on gemballa as we spek....lol
look in multimedia and there is my email enquiring over whether they can perform a Mirage Gt conversion and what the costs and tim involved are.

Welcome to the forum Zonder... I'll talk to some of the 928 guys in my club and see if they know of a network for the Gemballa cars. Porsche's right though, they weren't as popular as they should have been so you might not have much luck.

On the subject of 944's, there's a 944 sitting in a junkyard less than a mile from my house that's in pretty good condition. The engine looks complete and the body is good too. I don't know why it's there.

They also have a little Fiat convertible and an MG. The Fiat and the MG look fun as hell but I would barely fit inside one of those, I think.

There was a 924 Carrera GT, I don't think there was a 944 version though. But the 924 Carrera GT is one hell of a car, I'd love to get my hands on one, but they are harder to find than a 944 Turbo S.

The avatar is just borrowed.. it is not of my Gemballa... mine is a Hardtop and this next pic is of my actual Gemballa... it is up on jack stands because i am redoing everything.. when it is all finished it will be black with Gullwing doors.

georgose(spelling???) 944 i like them alot where as most people think thier ugly. my cuzz andy saw one do a compleate sideways drift behind him nea tully BMW i think. theyre really well balanced cars.EDIT

I am still working on her... I would like to know other people that have this Gemballa Wide Body Kit on their 928's. From what I was told it is a rare kit and not many of them were produced. I have mine in tact minus the whaletail that is huge but the guy who has the whaletail doesnt want to release it to me... I will continue to try though
