Land Rover Range Stormer
The Range Stormer offers a glimpse of Land Rover’s future design direction. In addition to rounded edges from front to rear and top to bottom, the concept is also squatter and less top-heavy than other Land Rovers.
A production version of a full-size sport utility vehicle that’s based on the Range Stormer will be built, though likely without some of the far-out features of the concept, such as scissor-type doors and a panel underneath each door that flips down to create a step for passenger entry. The interior is sparsely appointed — a characteristic that must change to suit Land Rover’s image of luxurious offroad travel — and the vehicle has only four seats, which could change given the SUV’s full-size status. The production model also will be taller than the Range Stormer, though Land Rover insists it will maintain its sporty personality.

But one unique feature is slated for inclusion on the production version: a control that allows the driver to choose between six “terrain response” settings. This system adjusts the suspension and transmission shift points to suit the vehicle for a variety of on- and offroad environments.

The Range Stormer, Land Rover’s first-ever concept, is built on a new platform and is powered by a V-8 engine. It has full-time four-wheel drive and a six-speed-automatic transmission. Likely competitors for the production model include the BMW X5, Lexus GX 470 and Mercedes-Benz M-Class.

I have also read that it will not have the scissor doors or that the interior will look like that, It is also undecided whether it will be sold a LandRover or RangeRover, but since the release of the Discovery3, it will probably be sold as RangeRover. Your article didn't mention the engine, which get the car doing 0-60mph in 4secs :D
here are the pics I took of it at Geneva earlier in the year;

Have you ever been to England??
The richer english people will buy this up like nothing, I reckon it will rival the huge sales on the Range Rover Vogue, quite a lot in fact. Its a typical english persons car, big engined and sporty, its smaller than the Range Rover, which is good as well.
the English also like cool things, so the silicon in the head and rear lamps that looks like crushed glass will definately draw in customers (that has also been confirmed for the final :P )

i doubt the doors would stay. it'd be tough if you didn't have a fairly tall garage. otherwise you wouldn't be able to open the doors in your garage. or if you're at a place with a low ceiling. it's ok on super-low sports cars but i dunno about an SUV having doors like that.

I wouldn't worry yourself too much, they are already out of the final design any way :(

Pretty sleek for an SUV... I could see why some people would want to drive something like this... but if I were going to buy a larger vehicle, I'd prolly go for a Hummer instead.

um..... both Hummers are A LOT bigger than this, and I mean a lot, I have seen this car, and it is lower than the current RangeRover, which is smaller than the Hummer H2 and Hummer H1.

Gimme! Its based on the RR-Vouge platform and will use a Jag V8 engine. Doors will not be only final production run as SubaruKid said. Also the styling wont be as sleek and the bonnet will not hav the lovely power bulge. So, not as good, but still better than a X5. At last....
