My first topic is about this strange concept-car from BMW, The Z29 :

With his Z29 BMW wanted to build a lightweight Z series as they do with the M3 CSL. The engine supposed to be the same like the M3 E46
(343 hp) for 1160 kgs. Max. speed @ 270km/h

But at this time, BMW aborted the project, here you 'll find some pics.

What do you think of it ? Could it be the "Z series CSL" ?:p

engine sounds good, but im not liking its looks alot.. looks odd..

ive seen it be4 .. looks kinda ugly .. (front end reminds me of the Z1)..

so they aborted this and decided to make the z4 coupe.......sounds good.

The Z4 Coupé is much times better ^^

i think it would be cool of BMW did some GT sports car thing thats a bit cheaper than the 6 series but more upper class than the z4.

It looks like the result of sombody custom-pimping a Z4 because he wanted it to look like an Exelero. I don't like it. It's basically just a Z4M only that it looks worse. It may be a little lighter and moe powerful, but who cares? These days beauty is worth fighting for. I'd just take a normal Z4 over it.

whatever happened to that supercar bmw was gonna make? ... the z10 or something?.. i saw it on an episode of 5th gear

Probably for 2008, targeted power around 550hp...It's strange because BMW didn't shown any concept-car like this and planned to produce it for 2008 :-k However, it looks very good !

I like it really, at least it looks new unlike most of the BMWs.

This Z29 is probably using the Z4's chassis.
I don't really like it and they probably won't call it as the "Z CSL".
"Z CSL" should be something new.. if they are making one. ;)

car boy, yea, i remember a thread about the news, even those pics are the same i think, well, its super old...

scissor doors isnt taht good for a BMW, just not their style, in the front it looks like it has ford fusion headlights and a Pegeuot 407 big mouth grill...the rear looks like somekind like an ascari KZ1 if its called i think

Wow...I almost like the styling of this vehicle. Even though it's only the concept car, it still looks utterly different compared to the other Bimmers that have been popping out. That, in most cases, is a good thing. Even with that weird "flame surfacing", it seems to be applied a little better, anf isn't too over the top. I also like the scissor doors, and just the little touches that make this car pretty inique overall. Thanks for the info.

at first, i didnt know that it was a concept car, it looks def. like a normal car...thats amazing...:eek:

it looks better lowered but i have to say that i dont like the way it looks. i do think tho that it will look good with mods

Yeah i agree that the scissor doors arnt BMW style either, but they dont look that bad on it.
