i think japanesse cars are better in "street racing" they are fun, goodlooking, powerfull, and also economic.
but i have to recognize, the european (germans) are better as luxury cars, they have presence, and personality.
the only agressive style, for sports cars is Audi, that cars are beutiful to drive, and so complete
Mercedes is just confort, and BMW well i dont like them its not that exclusive

I will talk in general. There might be some exceptions to what I will say:

European: Better materials, classier, more luxurious
Japanese: Better mechanical (engine) parts, more trustworthy

yeah finally i'll maybe gat an answer to my question !

Why does so much japanese cars running 8.000 8.500 rpm like it's nothing and almost non European car will come close to that , red line's about 6.500 Rpm!

The high revving of a Japanese Engine is something that i like!
Honda Integra Type-R!

are you telling me that you would put your trust in a honda, toyota, nissan engine over a bmw,or mercedes engine? and when you say better mechanical (engine) parts do they have better engine parts then lets say ferrari, porsche, lamborghini, bmw, mercedes ,audi
those brands speak for them selves.
Trust me, the good japanese engines break less often and are more reliable than europeans, even BMW and stuff like that. Allow me to remind you that some jap engines reach 8000-9000 rpm easy! The mechanics would allow the engine to rev so high if they weren't sure about it! I'm not saying that the engine is more powerful, I'm not saying that I prefer a honda over a BMW, I'm only saying that statistically japanese engines have less problems than european ones, with only a slight difference. And btw, you have to campare cars in the same price range! You can't compare Honda with Porsche, for instance! I was talking about jap and euro cars of the same category and same price range.

I understand. The guy who posted the question hasn't been abck since I think, so it doesn't matter anyway  I was just curious about the cars in the question myself and got alittle frustrated when everyone kinda ignored it.

I know nothing about the bluebird, but I know some things about the Calibra. Its a 2lt coupe, and its very nice and powerful. It's top speed is about 240 km/h. Its kinda old though, it began production in '92 I think. Anyway, I wouldn't mind having one.

92 isn't tooo old, I like the GTis from that year. It sounds like an excellent car, AWD always entices me

I don't think.Japanese? Can you compare the Japanese cars with Europeans? Not even luxury or engines. Can you compare BMW or Mercedes or even Swedish engine with any Japanese car? :?Subaru is a sh*t in front AMG's engines and Toyota Supra is a nothing in front BMW M5.We aren't talking about modified cars.A Jaguar XKR can smash a Lexus in a second.Give me a break. We compare these two countries in this.Japanese produst other cars and Europeans product other cars.

Yeah dude, I think that Impreza guy was on crack when he wrote his statement...I mean damn, just look at it. And that other guy had a point, no matter what your gonna look at, the only thing Japanese cars beat European cars in is price maybe...and I do say maybe, and anyway, the longest lasting cars in the world are European, just look at that one Mercades from 1932 thats still running, or blah blah blah, I'm just rambling, but compairing Japanese cars to European cars cant be done. Its like compairing rice to nuclear warheads. One is made of many complex parts and has been developed and fined tuned for decades, the other comes from a field where a world pulls it outa the ground.

Keep in mind that cars that old are often collectors items. The owners kept them in good shape for good reason; they were expensive to begin with! Had there been very nice, expensive japanese cars that were produced at that time and survived until today I am sure they would also still be capable of running under the proper care and maintenance.

ur comparing a ferrari to a supra???supra is around wat 30-40 gs......a ferrari is way over 100 gs.....if u put that 70 gs in a supra........you know the out come.....so jap cars are way better than euro....i mean euro cars are nice.....but jap cars still can beat a euro car in a race anyday.....

Japanese cars can be modified to the point in which they can keep pace with a Mclaron F1. An example of his is Noris Desighs Evo Vll which runs 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds and 160kph in 6 seconds in contrast Mclaron F1 does the same stuff in 3.2 and 6.3. but this modification costs $183 500 australian. But ultimatly euro cars are still generally better quality, faster(without mods) and most have better handling.
Norrisdesigns.com to find out more about the car and little known english tuner.
