HOLY ****!

Extensive aerodynamics kit
Extra 39 kW / 53 bhp thanks to high-performance sports header
Rear sports muffler for an awesome sound
“Edition Race” composite alloy wheel in 21 inch formatFerrari and HAMANN – a combination to set the pulse racing of all fans of Italian sports cars. The vehicle tuning specialist from Laupheim, Germany, has various new details and a power boost up its sleeve for the latest model from the Maranello stable.

The power is produced by fitting an HAMANN high-performance sports header (export only), including racing catalytic converters, to generate an extra 39 kW/53 bhp. This takes the peak power output of this 6 l V12 engine, already familiar to us from the Ferrari Enzo, up to a majestic 673 bhp. You will rarely encounter more power than this on the open road. As a result, HAMANN has reduced the power-to-weight ratio from 2.5 to 2.3 kg per bhp.
To ensure that everyone knows that the King of the Road is about to arrive, HAMANN fits a sports rear muffler (export only) with 90 mm tailpipes both right and left. Needless to say, the rear silencer is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel and generates an even more awe-inspiring sound than its series production counterpart.
In the series production version, the twelve-cylinder Berlinetta already sports a captivatingly and delicately swung body. HAMANN adds a few new touches of its own to this body designed by star designer Pininfarina. For instance, HAMANN styles the “face” of this front mid-engined sports car with a spoiler, which generates greater downforce on the front axle. To match this perfectly fitting component, which blends harmoniously into the vehicle styling, HAMANN also offers side sill panels, lending the 599 GTB a significantly more muscular appearance. The roof is adorned with a further spoiler, which in turn guides the air to an extravagantly designed rear wing. The latter generates downforce on the rear axle and stabilizes the Ferrari at high speeds. Since the 599 GTB is conceptually a race car for the road, HAMANN decided to equip the rear end of this Italian muscle car with a three-piece diffuser that matches the rest of the technology. In conjunction with the rear wing, and true to the principle of “a beautiful rear can also endear”, the HAMANN aerodynamics tuning suite shows its best side. In fact, the 599 GTB tuned and styled the HAMANN way is truly a sight to behold from all sides.
HAMANN lands a perfect hit with the aerodynamics, which do nothing to disrupt the original design, but lend added impact to a number of details in striking style. Batman would certainly choose the HAMANN Ferrari 599 GTB as the car he drives to work in. All aerodynamic components are available in fiber glass or Carbon-Kevlar.
HAMANN has opted for its own creation for the rims, called “Edition Race”. This three-piece, ultra-light, forged rim in a cross-spoke design and a black spider is notable for its nine main branching spokes each of which splits into two further spokes. In addition to the exciting design, the titanium wheel bolts are a particularly eye-catching feature. The stylish appearance is topped off by the mirror-finished rim flange. Needless to say, HAMANN also offers the wheels as complete sets.
Typical wheel/tire combination: front 9.0 J x 21 / rear 12.0 J x 21 - 245/30 ZR 21 / 345/25 ZR21
On the inside, an exclusive set of floor mats in black lend the cockpit of this Ferrari a cozier touch. And of course HAMANN will gladly customize any 599 GTB to suit a customer’s own individual needs. Extravagant leather upholsteries in various colors are available, as are extensive multimedia conversions featuring a DVD player, TV reception and a PlayStation. Once again, Hamann blows another car to shreads with a big ol' bag of ugliness.

Black paint + black wheels + black interior is not the way to go unless you're a ricer, or David Hasselhoff in Nightrider.

And if you're in a 599 GTB, you're definitely neither.

Well, this could be the next "KIT", for a new "Knight Rider" series.
I like it a lot.
I would love to see this in ferrari red. or candy red. or whatever is that ferrari red called.

^I think it's Rosso Red.

But I may be mistaken.

that's the name.
or is it Rosso Corse?

The 599 comes in a new new color; Rosso Monza.

I think it's a repost because I remember myself saying that this is the only Hamann tuned car I like... or maybe that just happened in a dream or another life.

Well, now I'm saying it again then. It's the only Hamann car I like. I don't think I would take it over a stock 599, but this thing is probably even faster than it's sexy, and the aerokit looks very interesting. The tail strakes are awesome.

Yeah I think this is a repost. I remember seeing it earlier on this forum.

o well sry, i searched and came with nothing, which is why i accidently put it in the comparisson sectionArgh, it's only Friday once a week. Besides, this car deserves two threads for using Bentley LMGTP aero devices.

How does the diffuser of this thing work? It looks like it has a flat bottom like some kind of Le Mans prototype.

What's with the chalk writing on the tires?

Tom Kristensen
Dec 15, 2006, 9:24 PM
It probably adds horse power, they do it at Le Mans as well.

In racing they do it because it's easier for the pit dudes to tell the difference bewteen the four different wheels, so this is probably just an attempt at being cool... Though it looks like it indicates the dimensions of the tire.

I love what they do, wish it was red though. Pretty sure someone said that so I second that motion.

I love it, but I would like to see it in silver.

When I first saw it, I thought the bodykit was hideous, but as I look at it more, it really suits it.

This car actually look great and I really like it.
Those rims finally fit this car.. I don't care about the Performance.. seriously. The stock already look great and they make it even look better.

It doesn't look THAT much different than the normal 599. A little lip on the front, small side skirts and a little spoiler don't ruin the car. I wouldn't say it enhances it, but it's definetly different.

I like black. It's more elegant than that obnoxious red.

nah, not really a repost. yes, there is a hamann tuned 599 posted here, but i think this has more power, and with those uglier rims...i dont like the rims, the black suits the car, but i just dont like the rims that are on the cars, the rear spoilers looks weirdo but the rear diffuser looks very cool..

They must be totally awesome in some way. maybe they're aerodynamic as hell, otherwise they're just very light.

The rest of the styling on Hamann cars usually looks to be aerodynamically functional.

I don't know yet if I like the 599 or not. only have seen it at pictures so it's difficult. my first idea was I didn't like it, but from some angles it looks good, and on these pics I some how like it to, but the spoilers and skirts are to much.

I don't know what to think of the 599 either. It looks hot, but its predecessor was hotter... so it's kinda blah.

Careful now boys, or someone is gona get a nasty diesease.

I like it. I wouldn't have the spoilers, and I would probably have Gunmetal wheels, but it has 673 brake, so could probably match an Enzo on everything but top speed.

Hamann mods fit some cars but not all .
i don't like the Hamann's Gallardo.

Ditch the spoiler and get some classier rims and you have a serious winner.

That car is THE SEX!! Very nice kit to put on the 599, it looks like a race going version in some aspects. I'm not a huge fan of the stock 599, but this made it damn awesome IMO.

At least they haven't styled it in an outrageous way, and have actually aided the aero of the car.

Damn, 673bhp is a hell of a lot. A black Ferrari is something that will always make you sh*t your undergarments, but a black 599 is even better.

It's exquisite. The rims look wicked, the black goes well with everything, and the fact that it's still a modded Ferrari gets the blood pumping.

Hamann's cars are really growing on me now, I like them a lot.

thats my phrase u whore lol

As for the car, the black/black look doesnt suit the ferrari, and the brakes look a bit small for a car with 673bhp no? Rosso red + silver/black rims would be cool. Just makes me wonder whether the car could outdo the enzo

Tom Kristensen
Dec 17, 2006, 11:10 AM
The brakes does look small, but maybe they're made of carbon or ceramic composite... or carbon-ceramic.

Robbie
Dec 17, 2006, 7:30 PM
i dont think they are stock, the stock ones somehow looks bigger, or maybe it is stock, but its abit too small, but yea, it could have used with ferrari's carbon brakes...

JoeProte83
Dec 17, 2006, 9:16 PM
maybe is cause of bigger rims they look smaller
