In autumn 2007 the French car maker Renault will released the third generation Laguna at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The five door sedan came first on the market in 1993, the second generation followed in the year 2000.
Now the new model is being developed under the code name X91, and here are the first good photos of both, the station wagon and the sedan.
Laguna 3 is an all new car, and the prototype shots are revealing the new styling. However, Renault is taking serious steps to improve the new Laguna’s quality, which had decreased considerably with the current model and consequently lost customers in a market segment dominated by Germany’s Audi A4, BMW 3-Series, Mercedes C-Class, VW Passat and Ford Mondeo.
The new Laguna will measure 10cm more in overall length than its predecessor, and it will be powered by petrol and diesel engines ranging from 115 to 245hp. The latter is a V6 3.5 litre powerplant from Nissan which is already being used in the Espace and Vel Satis models.
Upon the release in Frankfurt, Renault will start with the sedan and station wagon with the a coupe version following some time later.
The photos are showing: 1 computer generated image plus 2 spy photos of the station wagon prototype. 1 computer generated image plus 2 spy photos of the sedan prototype.

Gold pic looks awesome. Looks like Renault are putting in all the cash from their F1 championship win towards making the Laguna a wholly better car, and these looks are very nice, like it a lot.

You can't tell a lot from the real pictures, but the photocops looks cute. It looks like a kittah!
The Laguna lost it's classy character with the 2005 facelift, but now it's back to being awesome.

Yeah, he has a dark green tent at the Adenauer-Frost croner. He gets up at 4 AM every day to shoot top secret prototypes.

By the way, those pictures says "for posting only on WCF!" as well - We're so owned if Lehmann finds out!

Uhhggh..I don't really know what to say. I just don't think that the edginess applies to the rest of the styling of the car. It looks out of place or something. Hopefully it will look a little better when it goes into production.

The old one is a really good looking car. Let's hope this new one takes no lessons from the chop at the top of the page here, and studies its predecessor very carefully.

There is something about Renault that they will come out with "crazy" designs yet they ALWAYS sell well in Europe.

Its probably because of their such high safety ratings.

Maybe it looks crazy because its got special safety stuff maybe.
