I wanted to share some pictures of the Turkey Rod Run at Daytona Beach. As all of these are American cars, I figured they would best belong in here...

God damn I love Hot Rods.

I was telling someone in another thread about the 1932 Ford Roadster Hot Rod across the road from my house. He is currently running a 350 Chev motor mated to a tremec gearbox. Its orange and has white flames.

Most newer hot rods seem to be equipped with the LS1 due to its power and minimal weight.

Holy mother of Jesus Christ, that red one looks cute. Shame I don't know the first thing about hot rods and can't tell what kind of car it is.

The green one looks pretty nice too. It's just a little long, and the yellow (Ford F150?) should be lowered 'til the front bumper scratches against the ground. The purple one's hot as well. Thanks for sharing!

That yellow pick-up truck on monster truck suspension? Not my idea of cool. It should be a restored high powered muscle truck and not on a heightened suspension.

Actually the truck is a Chevy from the 40s (if i remember correctly), and the thing seemed mean as hell as it rocked side to side when reved!

Thanks again zeyk, although I should have resized them a bit.

and yes, that last purple hot rod does have the LZ1 engine hiding in the front!!
