View Full Version : question about Ford Mustang Mach 1...
I heard from my friend that one of the local Ford dealership have a 1967(he's not 100% sure about the year tho) Ford Mustang Mach 1, and he told me its fully restored, about 70000 miles...
but after I checked on eBay and stuff it seems like there arent a Mach 1 model Mustang in 1967, anyone knows more about that car? Im not used to be interested at classical muscle cars but just started to be..
and what should you pay attention to if buying a car like that? thanks lol :D:D

Welcome to the forum Oli...
The first Mach I was released as a 1969 model year car. There is no 67 Mach I...
yea that's what i thought too...
and I heard that the original Mach 1 with matching numbers are more rare?(I dont know that matching number that they are talking about tho)
but the 69 Mach-1 looks really cool...hahaha its the 1st classical muscle car that I really like..lol

Monkey is correct. There is no 67 Mach1.
The first year is the most desirable for obvious reasons, one of which is that later models kept stepping down in power.

Matching numbers means that the engine, drive train, chassis, and body are all original and have matching serial numbers. I had a 69 COPO Camaro but the engine wasn't original so it was basically just another 69 Camaro. The value rises exponentially the more original and the rarer a car gets.
