Not surprised, they bash Bugatti out of the way and guess what!

Im still a sceptic, especially of that chop because im sure it would have faar to much downforce to reach 254mph.

It's a repost I think. I probably even made the thread myself seeign as I post some masturbational love posts about it every other day. But my short-term memory isn't exactly tip top turbocharger, so i don't know.
It would be pretty damn cool if ACO made some GT1 regulations for 2010 so that all the cars must be based off of a street legal road car. Then the Bohgatty would get eight tons of crap beaten out of it.

The bugatti type 35 front grille looked like a tombstone.I loved that car. No love for the veyron though. Too much fanboy'ism, too little actual proof of performance.http://www.vieux-volants.com/Galerie%20photos/6%20ieme%20Beaulac%20Classic%20et%20Eleg ance%2027%2004%202003/DSCN0666_small1.JPG

porsche will make a gt1 but i doubt it will look like thisThe GT1 will be based on the Carrera GT, and it will be using a modified version of its carbon chassis, only with a roof and a more aerodynamic nose and ass, plus a roof. Technically It could look like this, but I doubt it too.

I'm disappointed in Porsche's aggressive tactics towards Bugatti. They seem obsessed with themselves.

They don't build it just to beat the Veyron. They build it to win Le Mans.

Im very sorry to say, but...This is extreamly old to me. I want a super car. I never liked cars that try to be a racing car, and let me tell you, that kinda trys too hard. I like the things that remind you that this was developed with racing teams, but i dont want a race car for the road, i want a supercar for the road. Its like the Enzo and the FFX. Enzo, The road and occasionaly the track. FFX, sheer trackday

Well it'll never be street legal with that racing wing on the back, so I'm guessing the road legal version will have it off, thus giving it more hope for 245mph.

Well, i doesn't seem to care much about those top speed figures now.
the acceleration and handling is far more important.

Im still a sceptic, especially of that chop because im sure it would have faar to much downforce to reach 254mph.You are confused on the concept of downforce and it's practical applications on a vehicle. Unless you can see the underside of the car and the flow pattern of air through the body then you have no idea exactly how much downforce the car has.
I'm disappointed in Porsche's aggressive tactics towards Bugatti. They seem obsessed with themselves. The only aggressive tactics expressed by Porsche are the ones made up by people here... lol
Well it'll never be street legal with that racing wing on the back, so I'm guessing the road legal version will have it off, thus giving it more hope for 245mph.What is illegal about that wing?

^Some countries have outlawed big functional rear wings because the government think it will decapitate all the pedestrians it passes.

maybe Porsche will do something like Bugatti did with the Veyron's wing, it will not come out til you reach a certain speed or what... Im actually wondering about what kind of transmission this car would have...

maybe Porsche will do something like Bugatti did with the Veyron's wing, it will not come out til you reach a certain speed or what...Porsche was the first company to have one of those...
Porsche was the first company to have one of those...
it was on their 911 models first wasnt it?
but i think the Veyron's wing is better looking than Carrera GT's...lol
GT1 prob need a big ass wing on it to have enough downforce to get to 254mph... i still remember seeing a video of a Porsche GT1 racing car flip over on a racing track...lol

the technology in the bugatti beats everything right now in the market. I can truely say its worth the $1.4 million for it. the only reason they are doing so bad is that the car does not meet u.s regulations because of the airbags in it. Because of a number of accidents with the exotic cars in the u.s, the new system requires the airbags to be placed in different positions to ensure the safety of the driver. Unfortunately bugatti did not know of this new regulation until late 2005 when the u.s implied this as part of their u.s spec regulations. Bugatti has also spent millions to produce its already powerful veyron and can not stop production and spend more money to build a new interior. As slow as the sales are, it still takes 11 months for the customer to receive their car from bugatti. right now the two biggest bugatti markets are europe and the middle east and thats not enough for them to continue this car. According to a bugatti spokesperson whom i met a while ago when my friend went to order one, he said it does not look good for bugatti right now and production may stop by mid 2007 but the good news is now all the wealthy europeans are purchasing this car as a long term investment.
The bugatti is also not a daily 1001hp car, you can go from 650hp-1001hp by just turning one of the knobs. the technology put in this car makes it close to impossible to steal it and get away with it. When a customer is experiencing problems, the factory in france have the technology to look at your car by a computer and fix computer computer glitches without them coming to the customer. some customers face turbo problems and dont realize it but before you figure it out, they would give the customer a call and say that they have sent a mechanic (this is if you dont have a bugatti dealer in your country) to your country and should be there the next day to fix it. I have driven the bugatti a few months ago and i will be doing another drive in the abu dhabi show on 18 december in the UAE where bugatti was provided a car for test drive for serious buyers and the press. bugatti technology surpasses porsche technology by miles and imo porsche will need a lot more than good mechanics to come up with a better car. The bugatti also has a button where you can play around with boost and exhaust noise which is pretty darn cool. Unfortunately i can not afford this car at this time but i am planning on buying one in the next two years even if it were a used one. But i am going with a friend next month to see this car and help him with his order. 11 months is not as bad as what used to be a 14 month waiting list for a carrera gt.
this is just my two cents

Yeah, it looks sweet, but they will probably end up using another greenhouse unless ACO mandates lifty roadcar greenhouses with an effective wake length the size of that of a bus.

who would position themselves so close to the cars? they couldnt go too close in the city so it would be on the track/motorways where that would happen.
hitchhikers risk?

If you did as many amphetamines as the Danish government do, you'd be lucky not to outlaw anything that improves a car in some way or another. Hell, the tires aren't even allowed to protrude just 1 mm beyond the fender lip, which means no orginal old skool 911's for us.
