I don't think its a joke. I wouldn't doubt that a GT500 lover who lived in that area would pay money to reserve his compy of the product.

Whoever does this though has got to be a serious fan.

Are you saying it's a joke because it "seems" cheap? If so, it's not. The $15 000 + that you will be paying is adding to the original sticker price of the vehicle. The guy doesn't have bad feedback, I wonder how many people are gonna bid.

I'm sure people pay way over the sticker to own a Gallardo or Aston Martin. Just ask all your rich friends if they paid exactly sticker for their car. I'd be surprised if they did.

My bad, i didnt read all the way through. I thought you needed to spend $15,000 before you can buy the car for whatever price they decide to sell it to u.

yeah but sticker doesnt mean retail, so even with that pass the price would be heavily inflated.

No one bought it. Besides, the Roush is better than the GT500 so I don't know why you would want to buy this in the first place.

I'm not trying to push a point but just for comparison you can walk into any Chevy dealership and buy a brand new Z06 with no hassle, no waiting list, for the sticker price. Just like my friend did, in atomic orange.

CCoop8830 called this awhile back if you remember back in one of the Z06 vs GT500 threads. He worked a Ford dealership and knew they were going to be adding on to the price somehow.

Bossesjoe out here at John L Sullivan for example, the Z06's are going for above sticker too.

Folsom Lake Ford has one too, but the MSRP was tripled, so the owner could lay claim to the car. He also had a Tungsten GT (both cars faced each others noses) and that consequently is marked at 260k.

ALL of these cars, Z06 included, (at least out here) are going for WAAAYYY above MSRP. Also, lower serial number units are being auctioned. I predict that the Z06, and the GT500 prices out here will drop as serial numbers and the local rich buyers die off. There's quite a few places selling the GT500 for MSRP (or slightly above it).

It is the case of the rich "being the first on the block to get it"
Eventually that will wear off and they will come down to normal prices. Although I can not understand paying that much higher for a FordGT or a GT500. Seems like giving it time and the prices will come way down to earth, just have to get the rich out.

He told me there was no wait lists, the only wait he endured is for the factory to actually build his car for him since he wanted a combination the dealer didn't have.

I even have a picture from the webcast they put out when he got his car, pretty neat.

Still, I'm not at all surprised there would be a difference between mid Ohio and California. I could be wrong about what he payed but I'm pretty sure, I'll ask him the next time I get a ride.
