"does a 4 door coupe make sense to you guys ??":D the CLS have set a trend for a 4 door coupe .. so Porsche is thinking of making sth that can counter it and so is BMW .. but really I can't really pull my head together because its still weird and wouldn't make sense for me .. if there's a 4 door coupe .. then what is a Sports Sedan ?!? hahaa and if you'll look it up on a dictionary .. a coupe means a 2 door sports car. :-k

anyways .. a post isn't a post w/o pics .. and btw i really like the looks of the car, can't understand why some ppl thinks its ugly .. what part of it is bad ?!

well, there nice cars, and i guess the wanna knew body type in the market, i like them, but my dad hates them, he thinks there really ugly, but he likes inside, and the power of the CLS500(rich friends)

Audi is also making one too. A sports sadan looks like your tipical sadan, but a 4-door coupe is more swoopy, and sleak. In my opinion only a car like the RX-8 can be a 4-door coupe.

I don't really like this car and just the engine might work for me .

I've heard a lot of people say that it is a good looking car but its not my cup of tea.
Sports Sedan are something which could give you some sporty feel .
You could mostly get the feel when you are driving a coupe like MX-5 or the Cayman but now you could even have that feel when you are driving a sedan .

I guess it should be something like that.. correct me if I'm wrong .

I like it. It doesn't look like anything else on the road. I like the idea of a 4-door coupé as well. It looks cooler than most 2 door coupes.

It's not a sports sedan because it's not a sedan. Cars like the BMW M5 and Audi RS4 are sports sedans.

By definition, it is a sedan. But it looks like a coupe so it gets off with being a 4 door coupe, even though '4 door coupe' makes no sense. I've done this discussion before so I won't again. I like it, and it's a pity I can't afford it.

It's a blatant mix bewteen a coupé and a sedan. Now, that would make it coudan or a sedpé, but both of them sounds so lame that it's better off being a four door coupé...

By the way, does that BMW shark fin antenna generate beneficial vortices, or is it just there to make it look gangster?

i agree its not really a 4-door coupe, MB likes to put out fancy new names for thier cars (aka R-class (grand sports tourer?)(aka mini van/wangon/SUV))) but it was a nice idea from MB. it was a great idea.

The 63 is so expensive, but when you put it up to other cars in its price range, like the XKR, it would beat it.

IMO, it's the back that doesn't cut it for me. It's to sloped down and makes it look weird. I just don't know what people see in that car.

okay explanation

a 4 door coupe is a 4 door car which is cut to be more like a coupe body line. the cls being a perfect example.
a sposrts sedan is something like an M5 or and RS4 it is just a normal 4 door sedan made fastified.

It's not a coupe literally, although when you look at it it looks like more than a sedan. It has the lines of a coupe, and the rear end slopes off like a coupe (resulting to very little headroom). So although it has four doors, it simply has the styling charactoristics of a coupe.

I've heard quite good things about this car, especially relating to its styling.....though I'm not too sure about the rear....

it wud have been better if the center pillar was removed.like the previous one..no window frames.i really like this car...it's a totally new concept..and looks amazing.u won't find any long ball shaped car on the road.

I can see it as a high end drifter.I see it more as a pimp-mobile that's born to be tricked out with chrome rims, lowering kit and a loud-ass audio system. They made it a four-seater only because it shouldn't be eligible as taxi.

As a car I love it. I think its one of the most elegant looking cars Mercedes make at the moment and given the money I would buy one. The lines just seem to work so well, when it first came out I wasn't convinced at all but then I saw one in black and I've loved it ever since.

As a business decision I'm not sure, all it seems to do sales wise is to take sales from the E Class which isn't a good thing spreading the same amount of buyers over two models. Still, it looks nice...

That's what's cool about it. Mercedes had the guts to produce such an unsensible car. Normally, only Chrysler makse such kind of cars.

haha alright so I have my answer .. a 4 door coupe doesn't make sense at all, but this is just mb being mb. They have their rights to call it a 4 door coupe. Styling wise I think its great but sth is still weird about the rear but i'll still want one .. especially the brabus tuned rocket cus it just eats everything.

:p my bad I just didn't edit be4 I send it out .. but yall get my idea .. both the DTM and GTR are amazing .. Merc has had some great styling cars

Most of their new cars look pretty half-assed to be honest. The new S Class, the GL Class, the NW ML, the new CL Class and the recently facelifted SL are really boring compared to the Mercs from the early 00's.

i think with the CLS , Mercedes has started an era of more fashionable designs ( if you know what i mean ? )
