BMW’s smallest model, the Series 1, has been on the market since 2004. Now the Bavarian car maker is preparing a first restyling of the Series 1, due for launch at next spring’s Geneva Motor Show.

At the same time the Series 1 will come on the market as an additional three door variant. Finally – in autumn 2007 – BMW will extend the model range even with a coupe, the matching convertible of which is to follow even later in 2008.

The pictures are showing prototypes of the new three-door as well as the four door, both featuring the restyling.

There are changes at the front end including bumpers, grille and headlights, as well as taillights and bumper at the rear end.

man i don't get these bimmer dudes....wtf do they mean by a facelift?

Yeah, but on that side view the rear lights look a bit darker, makes it look more aggressive. Front headlights look a bit different also.

I dont know what everyones going on about the bangle-w's are pretty good looking, the 6 was the ugliest thing ever to hit the planet, but the rest are ok. the 1 i love but it sucks, but the only major car company in the world that would try putting rwd in a small car is bmw. And i can see the differences, try harder.

well the normal 6 series i thought when it first came out was pretty ugly, well then i got well with it and now its like an angel..

Well, to my mind, the 6 is the prettiest car to come out of BMW in recent years.

Back angle looks alrigh though. Too many creases down the sides though.

I know that BMW are great in RWD but they shouldn't really make a facelifted version of this 1 series anymore . I don't really like the idea and I would get a Cooper S instead of this 120i .

Bah, I thought they had already made the 3-door version of it. Anyway, I posted some spy pictures of the Coupé a while ago. Trust me, it ain't nice. The Cabrio is probably gonna be fun though. Fun but ugly.
