Hi guys. I need a quich searh on this specific subject, and it didn't seem to have been done before, so here we go:

Bonus-info:
The SAAB: Awarded maximum five star rating in EuroNCAP collision test, Saab 9-3 Convertible, EuroNCAP
http://www.saab.dk/main/image/spacer.gif
Named UK's Most Secure Open-Top Car, British Insurance Car Security Awards, Great Britain
http://www.saab.dk/main/image/spacer.gif
Prestigious Sporting Open Top award, The Institute of Vehicle Engineers (IVehE), Great Britain

The Volvo: Also availibel with a D5 Diesel enging, and has a "real" roof.

The two cars cost just about the, but I have on purpose not included the pricetags of the two beauties, 'cos where I live(Denmark) every car is about three times as expensive as in any other country, so those "danish pricetags" wouldn't do you any good.

By the way, sorry for my english gramma and spelling!

Ehm, how do I include a poll? -So that you can vote which one you prefer..?

The Saab is more attractive, but the Volvo is the obvious choice for longterm ownership.

I prefer the Saab. The Volvo looks more girly. But its nice as well.

@ Simon, to include a poll, when you create a thread, at the bottom is a thing that says "Include a poll with this thread", check it and it will take you to the create a poll thing.

I prefer the Volvo. The Saab performs better, but the Volvo is much newer and more modern inside-out. Plus it has a roof (and an elegant one at that.) It also comes with a diesel engine... but I'm still not sure whether that's a good or a bad thing in a cabriolet.

is that volvo a rwd?or is that saab a rwd?
both r equally good.the rwd gets my vote..kinda like a tie-breaker.coz it's more fun and more possibilities of tuning.
edit:
totally overlooked the drive line....i thought the whole thing is not english.

They're both FWD. It's stated in the specs right under "Max. drejningsmoment EEC manuel."

While I dont really like either of these cars, History tells me that the Volvo will be very reliable and more practical.

In terms of looks...well I prefer the SAAB.

So there you go:
Saab- for extraneous beauty
Volvo- for everything else and beyond

I own both brands simultaneously- Volvo is the clear winner

<-- haha, didn't realize that I didn't translate that part into english - sorry! :)

Drejningsmoment is torque, isn't it? (Christ, I barely understand my own language.) But what is "EEC"? Is that just the transmission?

Both are pretty cool cars IMO but the Volvo just wins by the smallest margins...

both are marvelous cars... I really don't know which i would chose.
Volvo is not so 'common' but i think is more expensive

Both are fairly feminine, me being a man, id say neither.

^Argh, the SAAB looks pretty agressive (from the front at least). The Volvo is pretty feminine though.... but that's a plus in my book!

i couln't agree more! I hate cars that says "Whoa, look at me, I'm a real man cos' of the car I drive!" -You know the Dansih version Tom K.; A looser in his mid-twenties, tribal tatoos, and a ugly-ass VW Golf!

Yeah, it's survival of the femmenine here. Otherwise you'll end up as a "brian"... and that ain't a good thing.
So the Volvo wins on being less of an attention whore.
