"German tuner TechArt has created a new kit for the Porsche 911 Turbo. After the conversion, the engine delivers 580 hp at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 700 Nm at 4,850 rpm. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a modified six-speed manual gearbox with TechArt gearshift travel shortage and additional gearbox-oil cooling.

The 3.6 liter boxer engine was modified with two bigger turbochargers, a sports air filter, and the stainless steel exhaust system with special manifolds and integrated high performance catalysts. The car will hit 62 mph in 3.46 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 210 mph.

The exterior has also been customized with TechArt Formula five-spoke wheels and an aerodynamics kit. The TechArt front spoiler reduces aerodynamic lift by 15 percent, while the new rear wing produces 20 percent extra downforce in conjunction with the TechArt rear diffuser."

now they are making the new turbos back into the 996 turbo again..

Sounds pretty good . With just a 100bhp upgrade , the torque is much more higher . 700Nm , thats more than Enzo ain't.

That's hot! I love the rimmed headlights. It annihilates the frog face the stock 997 has. The bodykit also looks very nice, except for the black line on the side mirrors, that looks like some cheap plastic.

I think this is the only tuner Porsche I like - along with a few RUF's, but RUF is an independent car manufacturer anyway.
