Mondeo Cosworth

Hi folks,
Ford commissioned Porsche to design the original Duratec V6 engine. Terry Haines, the owner of Haines Motorsport and ex-Ford Powertrain engineer was kind enough to post some pictures of the Porsche engine installed in a Ford Contour (American Mondeo) prototype on his Internet Gallery. Ford sent Terry Haines to the USA from his native Britain to be chief-coordinator of the North American CDW-27 prototype program. He now runs a shop catering to CDW-27 cars (Contours, Mystiques, and Cougars). It's about 5.5 hours south of where I live.
2.5L and 250 horsepower. Ford made some changes obviously. Check out the original Porsche-designed upper intake manifold.
Terry is a great guy, a very helpful person and, to me, an invaluable resource. If you want to use the pictures somewhere you better get his permission first. Being British, he does have a bit of a temper.
Here's the link to the Image Gallery (the photo of the Posche Duratec might by on pages 2 or 3)
