anyway i started to research evos on how the can get 0-60 in 3.5-4.5 secs with only 370-473 horsepower that is bling for a street sleeper, and if u can make em look like lancers. but i dont like how the Lancer evo VIII looks not ugly but i like the VI our VII better. i want to know if the engines would be the same performence with the older ones ( such as getting to 0 60 in 3.8 secs :o ) with the EVO 8s. our would u have get en engine transer? ur can even an egnine transer be complete? :?:

They all have Inline-4's if I'm not mistaken. You should be able to squeeze one in without too much trouble and I'm sure it's been done before. I'm just not sure how cost effective it would be. In any case, wouldn't the newer evo also have an updated AWD system? If it's just the aesthetics of the car that's bothering you then you can always go for body modifications.

lancer evo 4, 5 ,6, 7 ,8 all have the same engine over here just different mods to each model, the basic eng block etc is all the same

They dont change in hp but the Evo 8s have about 380 NM compared to the earlier 363 NM

Major changes in engine are pistons and things like that. i.e. the EVO VII to EVO VIII change was lighter pistons. Most efective changes in the entire vehicle are in transmision, for example the VIII's AYC that can make the EVO VIII really turn.
