There's no "best/biggest" imo, because one can prove one thing, and be trumped five weeks later, or never again...times change...
So:

Biggest and best?

Porsche versus Ferrari, Ferrari v Lambo, Ferrari v Ford, Ferrari v Jaguar, (I hate to give Mopar68 credit for *anything*, but he did point out a loooong time ago, in the similar thread to this, that without Enzo Ferrari's attitude there'd be alooooot less excitement in the world of cars).
EVO v STI...
Ford v Chevy (Mustang v Camaro mainly)
^Toss in Mopar too
Contemporary? (Modern, recent)

Viper v Vette
BMW M v AMG v S and R lineup's from Audi
Aston Martin v Ferrari (more a fight of passion)
Elise v Speedster
Hot Hatches of god-knows-how-many-types v eachother
Koenigsegg v all supercars
Pagani v all supercars

...

It's a great time to be a car enthusiast.

The Chevy/Ford battle led to the best Trans Am racing there ever was. This in turn led to the Camaro/Mustang feud. That ended in '02 and soon it will once again be the biggest automotive argument!

Well, I guess there could be an almost infinite amount of these "feuds".....

The EVO vs STI feud won't stop.....

the most annoying are the STi vs. Civic threads, but the most intriguing would probably be Viper vs. Vette

STi vs. EVO you mean?!

I like the horsepower battle between Merc, BMW and Audi.

I agree with all that list of Ghalos', besides the Pagani one..

Pagani isn't fueding with anyone really, it came out of the gate and established itself in it's place..

it's not the fastest car in the world, and it makes no attempt to be at all..

it's one of the few "all around" supercars in production, and Pagani's aware of that as is the rest of the automotive world..

Shelby vs Ferrari in racing and Shelby vs Corvette on the roads (or whatever it was) was a prety good one. It led to the Cobra, the GT40, a bunch of cool Ferraris, and modern sportscars that's still influenced by the design/concept of these cars (Mainly the Cobra).

My favourite is still Audi vs the ACO/Pescarolo. That was really grade A ownage, and 2004 and 2005 was grade A racing. Unfortunately the ACO shot themselves/Pescarolo in the foot, which led to Pescarolo leaving the race and the R10.

Ford vs Chevy is obviously the biggest, but I really hate that feud. A Chevy fan sees a problem in every argument for Ford being better, and in reverse. It's like Vietnam and Iraq, only in a hilarious way and with much more lying.

Are you talking about the early 1970s Trans Am Racing when the Penske team was beating everyone with the Camaro and Mark Donahue was in the seat? Cause that is when I think of some really good racing going on in America.

not really... they de-tuned a 513bhp 5.0-litre V10 to a 447bhp 5.2... if they was in the power struggle im sure they would have kept at least the 513bhp power figure... dont you agree?

Yeah. Mark Donahue was a racing god. The Mustang lead Trans Am racing until when???? Until the 67 Camaro knocked it off it's pedestal.

Here's some interesting trivia that Chevy fans love:

Since the beginning of the Indy 500 there has been;

18 Chevrolets total:

9 Corvettes and 6 Camaros. Chevy has paced the 500 the last 6 years in a row. Ford has only had 1 pace car since 1980... the 1994 Shelby Cobra. There has only been 4 Mustangs. All together Ford has had 7 pace cars and they've been around longer than Chevrolet has.

Your right, Donahue was a racing god. I finished reading his book over the summer called "The Unfair Advantage" and it gave me hope I might be able to race one day and actually be successful if I go hardcore at it. The amount that he won is amazing, but the amount of innovations he made for the sport is even more crazy.
