My favorite is Audi, so meke your choice and make some comments

My favorite definetly goes to Audi.
They have such innovative interiors, with high quality materials all around.
Their interiors look good in pictures, although they are absolutely striking if you see them in person, especially their higher-end models.

My order would be:
1.Lexus make well thought out interiors with simple to use interfaces and buttons are where they are suppose to be
2.Audi, beautiful ineriors but the placement of climate controls are too low in some models and some buttons are too small. There is also an over use of black in the interiors. Although black is nice it starts getting bland after awhile.
3. Acura same as audi except there is more contrast not just a monotone colour of black everywhere, but what i don't like much about the acura interiors is the new steering wheel that has a triangular shape for the placement of the buttons.

I forgot Lexus, but i still prefer the brushed aluminum and the just-perfect audi's steering wheel.
Another awesome interior design is on the Volkswagen R32(one of my favorite interiors ever!)

There's nothing that can touch Aston Martin when it comes to interiors.
The crystal start button, the sumptous leather, the carpets, no plastics. The dials are perfect, the seats, the centre sonsole, everything about them just seems right.
Sometimes they're in a world of their own.

Well, Audi out of that lot, but hang on...
Aston Martin? - see Bennyboy's comment above
Jaguar? - The spitfire wing dash of the XJ, with its classic burr walnut and sumputous leather
Bentley? - See under 'Jaguar'
Rolls-Royce? - See under 'Jaguar' , but with the addition of some even more opulent luxury
Surely the KINGS of sumptuously elegant beautiful interiors?
No one can do luxury and class like those 4 companies.

I love BMWs. When ever they are in comp with anything else, they will always win..........in my opinion.

Audi. Their current interiors looks like something you usually only find on concept cars, that you can only dream about will go into production. And they have been making the nicest interiors for as long as I remember.

an interior is not just about how much wood and leather can be placed in it, but it's also about functionality. None of those interiors can match the functionality of an interior designed by lexus, mercedes, audi, bmw, acura, ect.

Lexus maybe. But I've been in lots of Lexus Cars, BMWs, Mercs, & Audis, and for, as you put it 'functionality', they are no better than modern Jags, Bentleys, and Astons. True, some years ago, this might not have been the case, but these days, the British cars can certainly hold their own.
I can't say for Rolls-Royces, having never had the privilege to ride in one.

The A/C controls are placed nice and high, but the the buttons for choosing where you want the air to flow are placed to the far right. Then the radio controls are palced too low on the stack, normally this wouldn't be a problem but the placement of the radio station preset buttons are far and almost out of reach. Then there is the placement of the hazard button, which is on the very bottom right in the middle, a very obstructed location. Terrible interior, Ford Parts(nothing wrong with them) that don't belong in a luxury car. It looks more like something you'd expect in a taxi. Hyundai can do better than this.

I've had quite some time experiencing one of these. Exactly like that, actually. I didn't find what you put forward as a disadvantage, to be honest - the air-con the control positions for where you want the air to flow are on the right or on the left, depending on which side you're sitting on. Furthermore, these days, for radio you use the steering wheel buttons, so although they might not be perfectly situated, it's not crucial. Actually, on the Audi A6 (just an example) the air con buttons are what you'd call 'too low down'. But again, I didn't find that a problem when I went in one, and if the hazard button was one you used every day, I'd understand. But is it, really?
Having said that, I must confess to agreeing with you with regard to the centre console switchgear. The buttons feel clunky and slightly loose, and the whole thing creaks if you push on it. Which is why I'd have it with satellite navigation.
Basically, the point I'm trying to put forward is this: Not necessarily that the S-Type is better or worse, but surely the quality of an interior depends more on the materials used and the design in which they're placed rather than the precise placing of the air aonditioning rear screen defrost switch? So long as it's all there, and that includes the usual cubby-holes and gadgets, and everything is clearly labelled switch-wise - none of the switchgear can really be more than 15 cm away from anywhere else in the centre console - does it really make that much difference? I prefer to judge an interior on quality, fit and finish, and pleasant design.

Out of the choices you gave us, Audi.
Out of the interiors I've seen I'd go for Mercedes or Aston Martin. Aston Martin edges it with it's DB9 interior. I hate the interior they have in the DB7 and GT version.

At my age I like racing oriented interiors. So I choose the Ferrari I like the sportiness of the carbon fiber with the classiness of leather.... When I reach my adult years I would most likely go with Audi.....it is good in feel of material, the design is flawless in most cases, and it still has that sportiness left over. But for now....

^The centre console of the first two interiors looks like something you would find in a cheap Mitsubishi! Plus, the shape of the steeringwheels in the two Vanquish interiors is really making me lose my appetite, and the seats just look way to pornographic and flamboyant.

I'd have to agree, the first two have the same radio unit found in Fords and Jaguars. Aston Martin needs to design a better steering wheel.

Out of that list Audi. From the lowest model to the highest the interior has an air of class and elegance to it and all the switches have a very smooth and well oiled feeling action. Plus all the contact surfaces are very nice and tactile. Plus at night they look dam cool with the red illuminations.
BMW come a close second with their brave and different designs and for actually putting them into production. They also have the air of class about them but they miss something which the Audi's interior does which I can't quite pin down.

Three cars immediately come to mind:
NSX
Mk. IV Supra
RX-8
The RX-8's is particularly cool, the flip up screen, center console with the circular indent, and dash layout all have a really neat touch to it. On top of that, the interior lighting when it's dark out is damned nice, the gauges in particular.
As for the supercar arena?
Saleen S7, anything with Breitling involved is gonna be good, the LP640's roof and seat trim is pretty sweet, but, conversely, houndstooth always makes me smile.

I agree that it is hard to argue with the Aston Martin interiors. They are classy and comfortable. I like the looks of the steering wheel and consol in Astons, and the seats look as though they would provide excellent grip for the driver while going through tight turns. I also like Mazdas' sporty interiors, and the new Honda interiors look really retro in a good way as well.
