At first, I thought that picture was bogus, then I looked at the URL. Hmm... Crappy look, but the first shots are always shoddy. Well, anyway, I was thinking about the second one just yesterday and was thinking, "It'd be pretty cool if you could just drive around and just come upon a fellow racer..." etc., etc., etc. I always thought NFSU's race-meets were dumb.

Also, I hope the "tracks" are more realistic. They're too race-track-like in NFSU. Banked corners, flashing directional lights, barricades, etc. Instead of looking like construction zones, there should just be a flashing arrow on the screen, telling the direction. And an option that allows the player to choose whether or not to have it on.

NFSU was a very good racing game. But instead of producing its Underground series sequel so early, they should have created a NFS game from a specific car manufacturer. Like the NFS:Porsche Unleashed which was for me the best NFS by far...

I agree, no good cars were in NFSU. Bring S15's, AE86's, MR-2's and not just cars which were in America! Bring some in from Europe and Japan and/or even Australia!

NFS:U's graphic engine was CRAP...
Colin Mcrae Rally 4, on the mid setting (runs 60+fps on my mobility radeon 9200 32mb) and the graphic already looked as good as NFS:U on top settings (comparing screen shots).

But NFS:U on the lowest setting cant even run 60fps on my card. The graphic engine is garbage! Gameplay was good though.

Hope they make the engine better for us laptop users.

I really hate NFS Underground, it's fun for about ten minute intervals...the only fun I've ever had with it is going one on one with my friend in a drfit comp...not damn thing else...seriously, the **** with the Civic, focus, etc...being as fast as a Supra and Skyline maxed out, honestly, I almost got sick at that moment... :evil:

So yeah, I'll buy PS2, GT4, an Xbox, and Halo 2!!!!!!!!!!

may be a good idea, but i never got further than some stage3 and stage2 mods, got too boring to continue... so i guess id lose the contest :P

on nfsu i got stage 3 mods and 5star reputation on every car, got max reputation points(the bar stops filling) and of course completed it...
just a tip: spend minimum money on reputation mods, theyre all unlocked for free at the end

every mod is on stage 2 for me and there's some on stage 3.

it is ridiculous, but then again its a game. :) So if people want realizm go out and do the real thing. For some odd, unconceivable reason some people like their cheapo japanese cars, and would like to race them. I dunno, I just think, "hey, if a kid's favorite car is the VW Bug and they want to race it in a game, let him, but the problem is his favorite car is slower than the rest, what is the point of using his favorite car? none" So i think it gives people a reason to play with their favorite cars and are able to enjoy them. And i think this was a deturrent to keep everyone from picking one type of car. on the internet or any game, seeing the same car over and over again gets really boring. Im a big gamer, im very competitive, and what i notice about all games is that choice is severly limited, and what happens in games like this, everyone wants the best part (or weapon) available, soon enough no one else uses the other weapons or parts, only that select one, and it gets severly repetitive.

I heard that they GT4 will eventually make it to Xbox, but not on the same release date as it comes out for PS2. Kind of like what they did for GTA, they are bringing it over but not until after the game has been live for a while...Just rumors though.

i hope marble, two-tone and airbrushing are also available in nfsu2

1. Have you got any pics of 'marble' cars. I've never heard of that kind of paint and
2. Two toned was available in NFSU

two-toned...not really it was just a vinyl and didn't work properly with most pearlescent paint, also i hope there is airbrushing...rather than just vinyls, as once again these simply go weird with flip paint. i think metal flake would be an amazing feature, and should be possible if they can do pearlescent
and marble paint, i cant actually find a picture of, but its VERY costly and is pretty much custom for most cars
its pretty much a car, that looks like marble, but in one colour normally

there is nothing special with that game if you ask me..
but the only car game that i like is the new Mario Cart to Nintendo Gamecub :D
