View Full Version : Camaro SS vs modded SRT-4.

I was on my way back from work yesterday on the service road of my local highway. I hear a "fart pipe" and I look next to me and I see a black SRT-4 reving and poping his blow off valve 20 times. I was like what a joke, whose this guy think he is. I thought to myself ya know these SRT-4's are supposedly kinda quick and I heard a BOV and saw a few pillar guages so maybe i'll see what this things got. There really isn't any traffic lights so I slow down, put my car in 2nd gear. I look at him, and he nods, and I floor it....I had him my 2 cars in a matter of seconds, by the time I shifted into 4th I could barely see him in my mirror. We ran about 3 times, same result all 3 times. At the light a few miles down he said "damn that thing moves".........he said his car ran low 13's.....he seemed cool, but his car was no match lol.

yeah, wouldn't expect an american muscle car to lose to a fart-piped FWD, suped-up ricer's car

With a good drive that mods list could result in high 12s, still no match for your SS though.. I would want the T3/t4 upgrade and a few other things before I ran against you :D

my boy nick has a 94-93 civic hatchback with a modded acura integra LS engine - larger fuel pump, headwork, straight pipe exhaust; no cat, nothing, just pipe. He had a bottle in his car, ran mid 12's on a 1/4. they told him if he makes it any faster he'll need a roll cage in his car if he wants to bring it back.

Low 13's? Not bad for an SRT-4. Kudos to him. But what a kill mate! I would've cacked myself watching that one-sided match.

And the member you're talking to doesn't post anymore.

I'm sorry, but I seriously doubt that you own a car, let alone a Lancer Evolution.

why did he bring up a 3 month old topic to brag about how slow is lancer is and how cool he is driving it. btw the comaro would enialate your evo.
ok i agree with everything attaus says. you sound like a kid that knows what an evo is but cant tell me what kind of gas it takes. and as for an srt-4 being "riced out" i dont thats possible. its a domestic. and if jdm cars are riced out.. domestics would be what? corned out? grained out? or maybe we could just say that an a tasteless srt-4 would be a piece of **** shall we?

There is a guy that lives around my town that owns a Neon (95-99) not sure of year, but know body style... but this guy has got a black for the main color but green in the front(hood, fenders, bumper), ricer spoiler, ricer taillights, exhaust tip... I mean you know when this car is coming down the road because of the sound it puts out. Its wrong, Forgot to mention it's got a blitz kit on it.... UGLY

YA well vin desil over here is right i have to admit the chrysler blocks kick chevys ass the srt would of definatly kept up unless he dident tune it properly plus yes his EVo would beat the SS if it's an 8 and not a 9 cuz the 4G63 engines kick ass i build them for a hobby

Yes well, Vin Diesel over here could be correct 4 years ago. I have to admit, the Chrysler blocks are better designed than the Chevrolet blocks.
The SRT would have definitely kept up unless he didn't watch F&F so much & also, his EVO would be a match for the SS if it is an 8 & not a 9. Because the 4G63 engines are rather strong & if anyone wants to believe me, I superglue them together for a hobby

Oh do you also build LS1's for a hobby? If you built ANY engine for a hobby (Even Briggs and Strattons!), you wouldnt be so stupid to say that a 4G63, or any smaller displacement engine, was clearly superior to a larger displacement engine, ESPECIALLY an LS1.
Evo's dont hold strip records, and 4G63's or other EVO/Mitsu engines dont get stuffed into cars expected to set said records, because frankly, nothing beats an American V8 in this category.
Brrderrrpp DOH!
Your ignorance has forced me to reclose this god awfully old thread!
