One of our customers took his car to Sacramento Raceway yesterday for some testing on our GT35R kit we built and installed for him. It's our kit along with a bunch of RnR bolt-on parts to get a great combo for him.

He ended up only getting 3 runs in, but the last one was very good. The first tow where some low 11's.

1.61 60ft
100mph 1/8
123mph 1/4
10.6 1/4

The MPH is a little lower than it should be and that is because he didn't shift into 5th gear. He let it just rev out to 8500rpm instead of shifting. This lost him some MPH, but it gave him a better ET. If he would have shifted to 5th then the time slip would have probably been 10.9 at 130+MPH.

Anything after 7000rpm and he isn't gaining power or speed anymore. He still has the stock head, retainers, springs and intake manifold which is limiting high RPM power.

We will get the timeslip scanned and posted up here on pretty soon. We will also be posting a video of run on our web site. So you can watch the fastest EVO 8 in the world.

On the 10.6 run the EVO went up against a Pro Stock V8. The guy was a shocked when this brand new EVO 8 pasted him half track. I was amazed that the car went that fast with such limited mods and only a few passes.

Here is the mod list

RnR GT35R Kit
RnR 3" 02 Elim downpipe
RnR Short IC pipes, Tial BOV
RnR Cold Air Intake
750's, walbro
Big FMIC
3" Exhaust
Autotronic ECU PnP
HKS 272's
Head Studs

I got this from an Evolution Forum, as you all know by now, the EVO is my favorite (but I love all cars) and this just proves why again. I've seen list of modifications on cars such as Supras three times as long. This the first of many street legal EVOs to run 10s. I can't wait till I have enough saved up to get an EVO.

3000 im from Sacramento. I practically live at the track when im home, although driving out to excelsior is kinda far for me (Live in Antelope) its like my second home. If you went on a Test'N'Tune saturday then you undoubtedly got to see the big boys run too. Good to hear of an import making the fast lanes (the three left lanes). Do you have a time slip for the run? If so please post it. What pro stocker did he run? Was it the purple cuda or what? There's plenty of cars out there in the pro stock class that would lay waste to that. Also did the guy in the pro stocker lift or what? Most of those cars are running mid 9's or so. Still thats pretty cool. Did the bikes run that day? If you see a stretched busa in a drag chassis with a pingel air shifter thats the team I used to belong to. Sac-Psycho racing. Anyhow give me a heads up on whats goin on out there. Also does the Evo have a cage? If not im sure he got booted off the track. Also if you say "customer" im sure you work for Motorsport Dynamics. Thats the only good import shop there in sacramento (in my opinion).

Oops my bad, sorry it took me so long to get back to you, forgot I posted this. Well yeah scratch that 10s, there is way too much controversy sorrounding this time, mainly because of the trap speed, 123MPH, seems low for a 10 second car and would indicate mid to high 11s. Many EVO owners are questioning the validity of the run, despite the time slip. Still waiting on the owner of the suppose 10 sec. EVO to go back to the track and repeat his feat.

Now it's official, the first EVO 8 in the USA has hit the 10s, and what's scary that there are many hitting low 11s and are just a few more modifications to hitting the 10s. The Turbo Trix EVO is street legal and did one pass that netted it a 10.9 with no nitrious. What's amazing is that 10.9 is just one tenth off the fastest US 3000GT/Stealth and the 3000GT/Stealth has been around in the USA since 1991. The 4G63 is a great engine to tune.
