Hi everyone I'm brand new here and want to know about the street scene in PA. I looked at the lists and found a lot in PA, but is there anything in the Lehigh valley? I go to school here and haven't seen much more then a couple kitted out ricers. Anyone know of something good?

Well, right now I have a 95 thunderbird. Not much of a race car, but a 67 Camaro will be done shortly.

I don't know people race here anymore but in my dad's day people used to drag at the John A. Musto Bypass, which is exactly 1/4 from the entrance to the bridge,
if people don't race there just try cruising the downtown of Wilkes-Barre late at night

Lime Rock International raceway, it's in the gorgeous Connecticut country side, about 1.7 miles of fast, medium, and slow turns. It's an international track that Champ Cars race at, and if you're a member of the SCCA you can get in too.
Or, here's a better idea, just stop streetracing?! :P

If you really want to race, take it out to a track. You will find cars that are competitive to yours and nothing negative will come out of your experience. Streetracing will end up costing you $1000s, maybe even your life. If you dont think your car is good enough to go to SCCA or NOPI, you really shouldn't be racing, should you? :) I know someone that had a nice Civic (worth well over 50k) and was racing when he crashed into a tree. They used the jaws of life to get him out and brought in Star Flight to rush him to the nearest hospital (helicopter). He nearly lost his leg, and his life. His car was totaled, his parents payed $100,000 in hospital bills (excluding the wrecked car) and he now drives a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee to school. He has never raced since..

Man crashes on bridge; charges possible

WILKES-BARRE – A 32-year-old man was taken to a Scranton-area hospital Monday night after his car slammed into a stone column on the Market Street Bridge.
The man may have been street racing with two other individuals and could face charges, police said.
The three cars, all Ford Mustangs, were eastbound over the bridge around 9 p.m. when the man’s car cut across the westbound lanes of traffic and struck a column on the opposite side of the span.
“He appears to have lost control traveling at a high rate of speed,” said Sgt. Bill Harden of the Wilkes-Barre Police Department.
The severity of the man’s injuries was unknown Monday night, but he was able to sit upright on the curb after crawling from his heavily modified Mustang. The car was equipped with a roll bar, racing harness and a nitrous system, used to give the engine more power for short bursts.
The man, whose name was unavailable, was taken to Community Medical Center in Scranton.
No one else was injured.
According to witnesses, the three vehicles appeared to be racing when the accident occurred, Harden said.
When questioned by police, the drivers denied they were racing.
The two uninjured drivers were questioned and released. One was given a field sobriety test.
Harden said street racing is a perennial problem in Wilkes-Barre.
“It’s all the time,” he said. “It’s been like this for years.”

1993 Ford Probe Sport Edition with a cracked vinyl dash. =)
And a "too loud for New Jersey" exhaust system, because that state is filled with a bunch of lame wads. Barring of course our resident SCF'er's. =)

Man, as much as street racing is fun, you live in the stix Trust me I know if I was a f-tard I would tell you where to go.. Especially in that car, you will die..
Earlier this year in my Iroc-Z
I was racing my buddies subie, and we were hitting the roads at anywhere between 35-140mph. Came up this one hill, at the top it drop hard and turned right, I almost flew off the ravine, managed to catch it at the last second, later in that race which was a 35 mile run, 3 we hit a bad road, potholes , ravine on the left, a mountain and ditches on the right.. Came around a turn @ 60mph and there was an eclipse convert there in my lane. I went right off the road and almost rolled my car into the ditch/rocky mountain. The control arm dropped out of nowhere and threw me upward, I was airborne and doing 60mph towards the ditch.. Put the car up on its front end(no damage) and my buddy almost get a head on with this guy. Pennslyvania drivers suck at life. Take it to the track

that's a really good idea. must be a small airport to be able to shut down on friday and saturday?
and uh.. to whomever said street racing has advantages over track racing... street racing has no advantages over track racing, unless you're a kid with low self-esteem and has to show-off to the bystanders. what's wrong with going to a drag strip. you get to see your 1/4 mile times, trap speeds, the audience is in bleachers instead of standing 5 feet away from a car peeling out, no cops, no obstacles (light poles, sidewalks, people, etc.) .....
edit:
in FACT.. i think the site should even take down the title of this particular forum, the Street Racing / Stories Forum, and change it to Racing / Stories.

Only went there a few times, but there's a group of people that hang out in Scranton (Keyser Oak Shopping center). Heard they're big into Street racing(at a different location of course). Talked to a few of them once and they said they sometimes ge a big crowd there just to hang out. The feds are cool with them just chillin as long as they aren't destroying anything or littering.
For those not familliar with the area, just about 10-15 minutes North of Wilkes Barre.

Hey guys I have a small team in the Lehigh Valley. Currently consisting of 4 people (3 with cars, 1 without but hes more of a mechanic)
As for the racing scene in the lehigh valley you need to know where to look. Now I'm not into drag...at all, its just my style. I do more interesting races. If you interested reply to this post, we'll see whats up.
As for my car, I currently have a 1991 Plymouth Laser (DSM), I dunno how much horsepower it has right now, prolly not too much it's mostly stock right now (which will be changing of course).
