Volvo's second generation S80 sedan now packs either a 232 hp I6 or a 311 hp V8. Volvo will offer an optional adaptive cruise control system in the S80, a first for the company. The S80 is also available with active Bi-Xenon headlights that turn the beam of light in the direction of the bending road to provide better visibility through turns.

I didnt used to like Volvos much, but they are starting to earn my respect with cars like this. To me this is a good blend of style and function.

I love Volvo.. it's too bad Ford took over and they started building sh*tty quality cars. Maybe Ford should apply some Volvo technology to their cars and actually get somwhere.. not apply their poor materials to Volvo.

No, really, I quite like it. It's quite elegant in a restrained, tasteful sort of way and although it might not drag me away from the A6 and S-Type as my favourite execs, I still do like it very much. It's very 'volvoish' and 'nice'.

So? Platform isn't the same thing.

The Audi TT and VW Beetle are on the same platform. Doesn't mean they share anything else.

Them front lights look so much like the Audi A4 lights ! nice car !
