Why would you get an Audi RS6 chipped?.......Well you would get an Audi Rs6 chipped only if you where off your head :wink: because at Scotts Mototune (portsmouth) are offering a chip and other modifications(SKN). They offer : super chip, free flow exhausts ,brakes , alloys and a road angel for the audi Rs6.

My dad purchased a chip (£1,465.00) which increases the horse power by 60bhp (which makes it 510bhp) and the free flow exhausts (£1,550.00) which adds 5bhp (which makes it 515bhp) but then they had to put a sports air intake on it which all together made the total output of the horsepower 520bhp.

0-60mph - 3.8secs
Top Speed - 200mph

(so if you see a modified one beware)

i think if i see an RS6 anywhere i'll beware. those are pretty beastly cars. pretty beastly $$$ too.

the power in the RS6 is huge , but i don't think it can hit the 200mph becouse one big reason - The cars shape , the aerodynamics in the car can't handle 200mph !
theoraticly you may assume it hits the 200mph but on the street there is no way it can do it !

i third that - an RS6 will never get to 200mph IMO after only a few grands modifications.

Those that doubt the Performance of a Sorted RS6 have clearly no experience of being brutaly teffified by the sheer torque and speed .
This car goes through 180mph with no hesitation and scotts tuning in dover** have photographic evidence and statistics of there Own Car doing 198mph round a track!

For a car to go over 170/180mph the aerodynamics become so much more improtant than brute power. Now the front end shape and the fact that it has a square back (estate shape) means it is so unlikely to go 200mph+

i am doubtful because i like to think i know alot about cars - and unless you have seen the car doing 200mph then you should be doubtful as well.

There you will read what we have done to a RS4. The same applies to your car , with a potential 560bhp.

what relevance is that? Im not underestimating german engineering (especially since it has been modified by british)

I just know that you cant spend a few grand on an RS6 and it will go 200mph.

now i dont know hardly anything about aerodynamics... but i understand that coefficient of drag is somewhat important, and the A6, the car the RS6 is based upon, has a cD of 0.29, the same as a Corvette.

Well IMO if this is so easliy achived then why dont i see more of them in the home of the Audi :? and the Germans like to spend money on there cars and speed is of a preference on the Auto Bahnwhere you can drive at high speeds(not like the UK 75Mph MAX) so i would have thought i would have seen/heard of at least one other Audi like this...

Very true. You also need a certain amount of downforce. Downforce is the only reason why we cannot reach speeds in excess of 200+ mph on mass production cars. The Ferrari Enzo has a VERY complex system of spoilers to add downforce at certain speeds. The Enzo has 809 lbs of downforce at 120 mph, 1761 lbs at 160mph and then less downforce to reach its maximum speed of 218mph, I believe. I know the car is heavy, but theres nothing holding the car to the pavement other than a set of tires. Is this speed reachable? Definitely. By the RS6? Probably not.

I haven't posted for a while, but we managed to get upto 194mph, comming home from the lake-district at 6am in the morning... We came upto a bend, and HAD to slow down.. But 194mph is fast enough for me... Hehe. Oh, and just for the record, if you have a RS6 DON'T get it suped up, Audi dont want to hear about them, and neither do any other dealers because they think they're a liability, when we've had no problems what so ever :).

Well, I doubt none of you will ever go in a RS6, and get a feel for it. But we now have the RS6 for sale, and we have a Q7 on order. We will have it for 15 months, and then the 5.2 Lambo engined one is comming into place. So we will be getting one of those.

3,8 aceleration from 0 to 100km/h,

and Ferrari F430 has also 3,8!


so with I think houlf of money you could buy same performace and Audi is simbol of qouality,

I was expecting the V10TDi from the VW. If it dosn't already have it.

So far it's only the V6 TDi or the 4.6ishL V8. I hear the Diesel is the better; doesn't guzzle fuel, handles better, sounds better, and still manages to push on at a "stock mazda" slaying pace.
