Lamborghini Lagartijo
Lamborghini is working on a 2+2 seater called the Lagartijo reminiscent of the 1960s Espada. The Lagartijo is expected to be driven by a 620 bhp, 6.2-liter V-12 that delivers 511 lb-ft of torque. It may reach the market in 2009.
It shares its name with the famous matador who spared the life of the famed bull Murciélago. The car, if produced, may run around $300,000 USD.

I remember the pics realesed before looking different to that though.
And it was going to be called the Espada not Lagartijo.
A 2+2 would mean 2 doors and 2 seats.

no, look at scaglietti, they call it as "2+2" means= 2 doors, 2 seats infront, 2additional rearseats
and F456GT, its "2+2" it has 2 doors, 2seats infornt, 2additional rearseats
so as the contiGT, so as the Panemara, and so on
vmax
Mar 18, 2006, 4:17 PM
nope, 2+2 means 2 seats in the front and 2 at the back, its nothing to do with doors.

vmax
Mar 18, 2006, 4:25 PM
dunno, i've never seen 4x2 but i'm guessing since there's a x in the middle that it means something completely different

This was in Road and Track's Ampersand section a couple months ago. It looks pretty ugly, but for some reason, I think I really like it. Ferrari is going to need to come out with another 2+2 in a few years to compete with the Lambo, and the Panamera!!

They already have the 612 Scag. But in the releasing year of the Panamera(2008) and new Espada (2009) the 612 wiil be already old - its 2004 - 4 or 5 years is normal time for replacing the line or 1 model.

I quite like it. Hence why I use it. I have a lazy mouth, so I'd much rather sound out just one syllable, instead of four.

True, but I type out what I speak, hence, Scag.
I've always called it a 612 Scag. ever since it was released. Everyone understands me fine when I talk about the Ferrari 612 Scag. Just a natural abbreviation.

What I've heard is that this project has been put on hold. Instead Lambo might begin work on a light-weight RWD Gallardo. A real F430 killer.

From the front it looks like they slapped a Gallardo hood on a Ford GT front end, and glued it onto the ass of a stretched 944. From the rear, it looks like nothing I've ever seen. We all need to flood Audi/Lambo headquarters with e-mails begging them not to trample on the bull by producng this POS. Has to be "back to the drawing board" at least as far as everything from the A-pillar back is concerned, She-e-e-e-t that's ugly.
