Soo... What does everyone think. I think it is a cool looking SUV, i am not to sure about the speedometer/instruments. IN the lincoln SUV's they are kind of going for a retro look and i for one don't like it. other than that i like the MKX

Last I heard, Acura/Honda were suing Lincoln ovver using the 'MKX' moniker, because they're afraid that people will confuse it with their MDX.
Pretty reasonable as well.

Thats one ugly SUV, the front is bad but the rear is downright offensive. The only thing near to a plus point is the interior.

no, its not another SUV. that shouldn't even be an option on the poll. its anther generation of an SUV already on the market. the production of this would end the production of a previous SUV. another SUV would keep the previous SUV in production, while adding the new SUV on the market. 2 different things.
it looks nice, im not fan of the tail lights, and the grill is a little much. i'm gonna go ahead and use a word from the '90s and call it "loud". however, the interior is quite nice, but all Licolns have nice interiors, or the most recent ones do anyway.

better than the new navigator how? it's a step down from the Navigator. it's the poor mans Navigator. (the word "poor" is used loosely to prove a point.)

hmmmmm looks like a very ugly RX330 somewhat and the other new Lincoln looks like a GS330......... slackers

I like it better than the navigator concept.

yeah, i realized that after i looked at that Navigator thread. it was made a while ago so i forgot about it.
still, there is no way the new Navigator will look like that. Lincoln has never been a leader in outlandish and modern looking cars.

oh right, i misread the title and BIG ROB's Navigator comment got me mixed up. So the the Aviator is smaller than the Navigator, gotcha

^^ It is another SUV, it is a new SUV replacing an old one, thus being a new SUV.

no, it's not another SUV, it's an already existing one, just a newer version. another SUV would mean Lincoln would be introducing a new model to be sold without the discontinuation of the Aviator. that would lead to more SUV sales.
this is just a new version. the sale of this would end the sale of the previous Aviator, so there would be no gain in SUV sales.
another SUV would mean more SUVs for people to buy.
do you get what i'm saying?
or no?
seriously dude, it's pretty simple to understand what i'm saying.
and don't try and argue logic with me, you'll loose every time. i guarentee it.

It is more SUV's for people to buyNo because this SUV already exists. This is just a different design. Same amount of Suv's just different looking.

an·oth·er Audio pronunciation of "another" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (-nthr)
adj.
1. One more; an additional: had another cup of coffee.
2. Distinctly different from the first: took another route to town.
3. Some other: put it off to another day.
If you take a look at the definition of, "another" under # 2 it says distinctly different from the first, which in this case would be the MKX and the aviator. it just depends from what standpoint you look at. in the the definition 1, it says one more/additional, which would support your argument of it not being an additional. We each look at it from different angles, so i cannot see how you are right and i am wrong, nor am i 100% right either. You and Diesel349 can think you are 100% correct, but me, and the 15 other people on the poll who agree it is another SUV know that you aren't.
Maserati Man
Mar 17, 2006, 6:41 PM
no, because the way he used it, he used the first definition. sure, words have mutiple meanings, but you get the meaning of that word from context.
"just another SUV" is reffering to an additional SUV, not a SUV distinctly different from the first. he was reffering to SUVs as a whole, not just the Aviator.

Nobody said it was just another SUV, i said "O boy, another SUV" you can insert the definition i gave and say "O Boy, a SUV Distinctly different from the first"

When you first used 'another' you werent saying "oh boy this SUV is distinctly different from the first. Because when you say "O boy" you are implying distress and something is wrong and there is nothing wrong with a different SUV. You used another as the first definition, an aditional SUV. Now there would be something wrong and then "O boy" makes sense. You realized you were wrong but instead of admiting it you tried to cover it up.

like it or not some people do think that there is something wrong with a different SUV, just b/c you don't think that doesn't mean that no one else can express there opinion. i have stated why saying that "o boy another SUV" makes since, and this is getting to be kind of pathetic. Its just a choice on a poll question, it makes since to most everyone here, and if you cannot get it then i am sorry. no one else except for you and maserati man have said anything or even cared about it, b/c it isn't a big deal.
