Get a deep purple paint job! Turst me, it looks so good. Or something that sticks out, like yellow or summut. Maybe electric blue?

i say black
ahaha M Technik. electric blue could be pretty cool. but i like black. if a car doesn't look good in black i dont like it. but there are many exceptions.

Leather - Stock (all TT models)
White - Possibly
6-Spd - Impossible (5spd only)

really? i didn't know it only had a 5spd, thats a let down
as for the leather, i didn't know all tt's had it, i've seen 300zx's w/ cloth and that's why i say that
what'd you all think of the convertible?
i think it's hideously ugly

The convertible destroys the styling of the car. Its exremely ugly.
Yes you probably have seen 300ZXs with cloth. Thats because its the base model. Not all 300ZXs are TT. Theres Base, 2+2, Covertible, and TT.

Your specs are slightly off Import. There are two motors, the VG30DE, and the VG30DETT. The DE is for the Base, Coupe, and 2+2 model. The DE has 223hp and 198 lb-ft. The DETT is for the TT model only, which has 300hp and 307 lb-ft.

Some really helpful info if you get a turbo'd model...
Include in your very immediate plan to increase the cooling capabilites of the motor and turbo's, the coolant hosing runs pretty near the headers, and those get pretty hot in turbo'd cars. Now, it's not so bad that you'll melt the engine on day one, but in a few months...I'd check some specialized forums on Turbo'd 300's to confirm this and any remedies. 8)

Why not get the TT version which has 4WS (a life saver at high speeds), leather, an intercooler, and is already set up for TTs. Then you can pop out the current stockers, and slide in those T6s. Sweet. 8)

It depends if he can afford it, Base models seem to go for $6000 - $9000 and the TT seem to go for $10000- $17000

Ckg are you kidden :!: :!: :?: :?: 10 17 grand???? the 300s TTs.
if a 300 TT is in a good condition they for for as much as supras. 50k miles and under, and in good condition, that would be about 22-34 grand.
if you were to pay 10-17 grand you are looking at about 115k miles and UP. okie to good condition.

are you just starting to drive? if you are dont get the turbo one because it is way to much hp for an inexperienced driver and you will crash it really bad. 225 hp is still a lot and you can have a lot of fun with it.

I have had my lisence for about a year, and have handled more power than the 300zx puts out...but never a turboed vehicle

depends on your theme
when i get my 300TT (8 months, cant wait), its gonna be black with leather interior that im re-doing myself in white :D
if you want the interior as stock, black leather goes well with white and red, black with black looks alright but i wouldnt prefer it. it would be nice to see more yellow and blue 300zxs around, so if i was you id go for one of those colours, the new 350z in yellow looks sick and so does the original 300zx.
dont go for convertible, if you can find one with slick top (not targa t top) then go for it, they really do look the best.
2+2 is what you really should buy too i mean around the bends its not going to kick the back out any more and the weight is balanced more evenly think its 49/51 or something for the 2+2.
the radiator leaves something to be desired as do the intercoolers, although replacing the radiator with a larger aluminium aftermarket one is a plan, a timing belt change while your at it, you can do this yourself by removing the front spoiler to reduce costs as workshops charge $$$.
also when you get your zed its a fuggin good idea to find a local workshop that knows em, lucky my uncle owns his and hes had a fair bitta experience with them, all the best :D
also youve handled more than 0-100km/h in 5.5seconds without turbo, thats one mighty fast car your talking there
