Is that the engine from the GMC Syclone/Typhoon? I assume so, and its just a bored out 3.8 liter Grand National engine, there are TONS of parts for it.

Im not sure what a typhoon or syclone is. I think ur right that its just a bored 3.8 but im not sure if everything is the same size. Even when a company JUST BORES an engine they usually change things to confuse ya.(well at least me) I know there are many parts but i still cant find the turbo header. I was think of cutting the tip of a regular one and putting the turbo flange on the end if I cant find one. What im really interested in is the sequential turbo systems. It seems to be a good idea but i havent seen one done. Also wondering about serial turbo charging. That would be kool.

Its not a bored out 3.8 GN engine. Its the same 4.3 used in various other platforms like GMC jimmys, S10 blazers etc. The 4.3 in the syclone/typhoon came with a stronger bottom end and lower compression pistons. The 3.8 in the GN is a unique beast, and super stout. The 4.3 is really almost very literally a 350 with two extra cylinders lopped off of it. If you have the 4.3 out of the syclone or typhoon SCORE. If not its still a sweet little V6. In my opinion one of the best made.

Probably because a 4.3 liter V6 is manufactured by GM, all subes are flat fours, and the engine he is talkin about crammin into the subaru is the GM 4.3 .

A 3.8 from a GNX is NOT the same as a 4.3 turbo or not. They are completely different.
The 3.8 (buick) went on to become the 3800 then the 3800 II , and had supercharger options for both.....
A 4.3 is a chevy 350 with 2 cylinders missing......
It would take a MASSIVE amount of work to bolt that into a subaru, if it even fits (I don't think it does).

sry havent been here for awhile. As of now i dumped on the 4.3L idea. I'm going to use a 383 stroker. :D It does fit but just barely (with like a six inch scoop and exhaust through the wells). By the way not all Subs use a horizontal 4. They also have a horizontal 6 which is what this car originally had. I think the outbacks have a six too. Btw it is a crapload of work but 383stroker runnin on 2500lbs. *drool drool*

TAKE A STEP BY STEP PICS AND DOCUMENTATION ON THAT BUILD UP.
That would be freggen awesome......
What transmission are you going to use?
You obviously have to re-build the engines sub frame, what changes have you made?
