there is curently a lamborghini urraco on e bay, in serious need of restoration. My fiance has decided that this is something she wants, so I may have just found my next project. I really wanted an espada, but Diana likes the "little bull" better. I have contacted the owner a few times, and may be discussing a possible trade. I will call him tonight to see what we can work out
Wish me luck (maybe not considering how much it will cost to restore)

Jeez. That's going to cost a pretty penny, I reckon. It's an attractive car, though. I think the engine you want is the P300, not the lesser one. They had problems with the smaller one. I'll try to find the article in Octane on the Urraco.

if I knew how to post them I would (I have said many times that I am computer challenged) there is only something like 33 lambos on e bay, and it is the only vintage (read as JUNK) one. It is not hard to find.

People are saying it costs a lot.. but how much?

if you are asking how much to restore it, it will be $10,000 to $15,000 in restoration costs if I do most of the work myself. This is in addition to purchase cost. I used to do this a couple times a year, and on the average I trippled my investment. This one I could do a little better on

sorry for the double post, but I am pretty excited. The guy with the lambo just returned my call. He made a traded offer, and will pull it off e bay if I take it.I told him, I would get back to him with an answer. I really think I am going to do it

the bike has been non-opped for two years. I have a couple other older harleys, and I bought a new road king last summer. I won't miss the bike too much.
Realistically speaking, it will take me about a year to restore the lambo, but the market for it will be on the rise by then
The vintage exotic market has crashed, while American muscle is at an all time high. The vintage sports car market has been dominated by the C2 corvette. With prices going as high as they are, they quickly excede the budget of most "hobby" car entheusiasts. They end up looking for alternatives. These people have made the C3 vette (68-82) the car to look for. They are gaining in value faster than any other vintage car, with a growth rate ranging from 7% to18% depending on condition and options. This same group of hobbiests are also starting to discover that they car drive a vintage exotic for the same price, or less than the vette. This is starting to drive the price up. On the west coast we also had the .com crash, which flooded the market with used exotics, and a HUGE real estate boom, so a lot of peopls sold their toys to buy property.
If you want to play with vintage exotics, now is the time to get into the market. This is why I am buying now. The market always goes in a wave. If I finish this car, and maybe a few others, I will have a year or two to enjoy them, then sell for a profit

yea that's a lot of work, all it has is like the body with 4 wheels on it... but good luck and have fun with it...the parts will probably be really expensive too since its an old car...

Is your ebay username Aztecriz? if not you should start bidding. that looks like a very fun project to me

no that is not me. The owner and I have not ironed out all the details, and I am really having a hard time letting go of the bike. but the price that has been bid is nowhere near what his reserve is. There is still three days left, so I am not too excited. I was waiting on purpose. I was interested in what other people think the real value is.

Yeah that will be a nice project. At least the Major components are there. Glad you have a wife who will put up with it ...lol I brought a Countach replica home a few years back and the then Girl Friend almost shot me.
On a side note... Its damn funny how they change their tone when you sell it and have that extra cash ...HAHAHAHA

I am very impressed. Do you restore things for your career or just an (expensive) hobby?
I don't knwo bikes but im guessing thats some kinda hell's angels style bike which sounds cool but IMO 4 wheels are nearly always cooler than 2
